Seckford Hall

Set within 34 acres near Woodbridge, Seckford Hall is a historic Tudor manor surrounded by gardens and Suffolk countryside. The lake, walled garden and grounds give summer celebrations plenty of room to head outside, while inside, oak panelling, high ceilings, large windows and open fireplaces bring warmth and character. Close to the Suffolk Heritage Coast, it feels distinctly rural without leaving guests far from the area’s towns and coastline.

Ceremonies can take place inside the Great Hall or outside at the Victorian-style Bandstand. The Great Hall seats up to 165 guests and features oak panelling, an open fireplace, and views of the lake and gardens. For larger celebrations, the Bandstand can host up to 250 guests within the grounds. Seckford Hall also has experience hosting weddings across different faiths, cultures and traditions.

Drinks in the gardens can be followed by dinner in the Lakeside Pavilion, a light-filled space overlooking the water and grounds. The Great Hall, Pavilion, bars and lounges provide different spaces as the day moves from ceremony to dinner and evening celebrations. Exclusive use is also available, giving couples private use of the manor house, wedding spaces, grounds and accommodation.

Seckford Hall has 40 rooms and suites across the manor and courtyard, allowing couples and many of their guests to stay on site. There is also a spa with a swimming pool, sauna, steam rooms and treatment rooms, with treatments including facials, manicures and pedicures. It makes arriving the day before or staying after the wedding an appealing part of the celebration rather than simply somewhere to sleep.

Seckford Hall’s kitchen team handles wedding dining, with options including canapés, wedding breakfasts, wines, and evening food, depending on the chosen package. Couples looking for greater flexibility can also choose dry hire, bringing in their preferred caterers and using the venue’s kitchen facilities. Seckford Hall states that no corkage is charged with this option.
