Sandhole Oak Barn sits in the heart of the Cheshire countryside, surrounded by rolling fields, peaceful water and the kind of calm that helps everyone instantly relax. The entire venue is yours exclusively, giving you a warm, welcoming home away from home to celebrate your day just the way you want.
Your day begins in the most peaceful way, with Sandhole’s calm countryside setting creating a beautifully relaxed start to your wedding morning. You’ll have exclusive access to the Dressing Room from 9am, a space being completely reimagined for early 2026 to become a serene, light-filled haven where you and your wedding party can prepare, unwind and enjoy those precious, excited moments before the ceremony.
When it’s time to say, “I do,” the Ceremony Barn welcomes you with its oak beams, soft natural light and sweeping lake views framed perfectly by floor-to-ceiling windows. It’s bright, romantic and filled with that authentic rustic charm Sandhole is known for. For couples dreaming of an outdoor moment, the oak Clock Tower sits only a few steps from the water and provides a wonderfully romantic spot for an open-air ceremony.
The Dining Barn is made for relaxed, joyful wedding breakfasts and evening celebrations for 40 to 140 guests. Cosy in winter with underfloor heating and beautifully bright in the summer months, it’s a space that easily adapts to your style and the season. After the ceremony, guests can gather on the lakeside veranda for cocktails, fizz and delicious canapĂ©s, an ideal place for photos, laughter and that first newlywed toast.
The Small Barn is also yours to enjoy throughout the day. Just a few steps away, it’s a lovely, characterful space that works perfectly for welcoming guests before the ceremony, keeping younger guests entertained, or unwinding later in the evening.
In early 2026, Sandhole will also unveil a brand-new kitchen as part of its venue transformation, bringing catering fully in-house and enhancing the experience from the first canapé to the last late-night bite.
Set just a short stroll from the barn, the on-site accommodation offers 17 beautifully finished ensuite bedrooms, sleeping up to 40 of your guests. It’s an ideal setup for loved ones who want to stay close, make a weekend of it and enjoy the relaxed comfort of a countryside retreat.
For newlyweds, The Granary Cottage honeymoon suite will be receiving a luxurious makeover in early 2026, transforming it into an indulgent, tranquil hideaway to end your wedding day in complete comfort. The Breakfast Room is being redesigned too, embracing a cosy farmhouse feel to give your morning-after gathering a warm, welcoming and gently rustic atmosphere.
Food and drink sit at the heart of the Sandhole experience. Their friendly in-house catering and coordination team are by your side throughout the planning process, helping you craft a menu that feels personal, flexible and full of flavour. Whether you’re dreaming of elegant courses, relaxed shared feasts, bespoke cocktails or something a little different, there’s plenty of choice to match your style.
Arriving in spring 2026, Sandy, the venue’s charming olive-green H-Van, introduces a brand-new dimension to dining. Blending rustic countryside character with the theatre of live cooking, Sandy creates an atmospheric outdoor hub for guests to gather. From pre-ceremony drinks and freshly mixed cocktails to wood-fired pizzas and sizzling BBQ dishes, she adds warmth, fun and unforgettable flavour to every celebration.
