We are still overjoyed and bursting with gratitude over what you made a fantastic wedding day. The entire Royal Berkshire Team has been a dream from the moment we went to see your venue. From actually being an accessible venue for my brother in laws disability, to the chef trying out recipes for Caribbean food during our visit and tasting to ensure I had an element of my heritage included, to upgrading us to your incredible sister venue Pennyhill Park & Spa during your Covid-19 closure.

Kelly and I would like all the staff at the Royal Berkshire to know just how special you made the day for us. We really cannot thank you enough.

In particular, we would like to thank Dominika, Sameer and Sophie for going above and beyond to make us feel that your venue really was ours. Nothing was too much trouble. There was always a helpful hand there to hold a drink, bring us some food and finally… a willingness to keep the lights on and the bar open until the early hours!

It’s a day that Kelly and I will never forget, and we will undoubtedly be back at some point in the future to reminisce!

I would love to thank Rob. He was so kind, patient and I loved having him a part of the day! The girl on the music – she was perfect. Everything was seamless! The gentleman on reception couldn’t do enough to help everyone with lugging buggies and fetching things! To the whole team – they are an absolute credit to the hotel. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and professional. All the vendors and registrars have said the staff are absolutely the most friendly they have ever worked with!

Married May 2025

We visited The Royal Berkshire back in February 2020 before lockdown. We met the lovely Evie, and after that meeting, we knew we had found the venue of our dreams, and booked straight away! After lockdown, the venue invited us to an open evening where they had revamped the wedding space to update it, and we were able to check out the new fresh rooms and try the delicious canapés.

Near the time of the wedding, we had our menu tasting. We were given a choice of food and wines to try for the big day. Two months away from the wedding, we were given our personal wedding coordinator for the day itself. The lovely Lydia! She saw my vision in my wedding bible, and loved it! The Friday before the wedding, we had our final handover with Lydia, who was looking after the day of the wedding and Sam, who was looking after the evening part of the wedding. The handover was perfect. We went through all the details and were happy. The wedding was a big success with no hiccups. Lydia was able to take everything from my wedding planner and make my vision come true. I want to say a big “thank you”. The Royal Berkshire is a home away from home, with the best wedding team! A massive “thank you” to Lydia. You’re an amazing person. You made the final process so easy and made us feel so relaxed towards the end. We had a great laugh with you. Keep being you! A big “thank you” to Sam! You helped the evening run so smoothly.

Just perfect, everything we’d hoped for and more.

Choosing the Royal Berkshire as our wedding venue was one of the best decisions we made. Our day was everything we’d dreamed of and more; it couldn’t have been more perfect.

Dominika and the entire wedding team were incredible. They were so supportive throughout the whole planning process, always friendly, and quick to help with any questions or ideas. We really felt looked after from start to finish.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning. The gardens are beautifully kept and made a gorgeous setting for photos and outside drinks. Inside, the wedding spaces are just as beautiful, full of charm and elegance, with the flexibility to add your own personal touches and make the day feel truly yours.

Our guests had so many lovely things to say, especially about the food and organisation from the wedding team. The drinks flowed throughout the day, and everything was timed perfectly. The service from the staff was seamless and added to the relaxed, celebratory atmosphere.

Having hotel rooms on-site was a huge bonus, making things so easy and convenient for everyone, and allowing us to enjoy the full day (and night!) without any stress.

There genuinely isn’t a single fault; we wouldn’t change a thing. If we could do it all again, we’d choose the Royal Berkshire in a heartbeat.

What an amazing experience we had, it was truly the best day of our lives which was made absolutely perfect with the upmost attention of the royal Berkshire staff. The attention to detail was more that we could ever have asked for. Our guests have been complimenting on how well it was coordinated and how attentive and pleasant the staff were, they even say it was the best wedding they have attended. The venue was kept immaculate all evening and even our sweet stand was replenished throughout the night. We are very appreciative of everyone’s effort and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the royal Berkshire to friends and family.

We just wanted to send you guys a note to say thank you for all your patience, organisation and help with making our wedding a dream come true! From the moment we met Dominika and the venue, we knew it was the one – the team and all staff members are truly an asset to Royal Berkshire! Lydia, you have been amazing with all our finer details and all the questions we have had running up to the day but also, your kindness on the day really did make an impact! Please could you also say thank you to Lai and the operations team on the day – it really did run faultlessly and she was incredible with us throughout.

We can honestly say it was everything and more, and we couldn’t have dreamt of a better day! Everyone was so well prepared and went without a hitch, so thank you!

Our guests thought the venue was stunning, and the food was amazing! We had a few mentions for the mashed potato and food in the guest book!

My husband and I got married Saturday 6th July 2019. We chose to do our vows in Windsor followed by our wedding breakfast and reception at The Royal Berkshire in Ascot. Laura was our wedding co-ordinator and she was an absolute dream. On the run up to the wedding she was very responsive and every time we met she was forthcoming with ideas and really accommodating (we asked for our favourite Gin to be stocked and she made it happen). I would recommend The Royal Berkshire to anyone who wants a lovely wedding that still feels private, the food was great and the team were very proactive. Laura particularly made the whole process easy, which is great when you are organising a wedding.

100% recommend! We honestly cannot recommend Royal Berkshire Hotel enough. From our very first meeting with Dominika, we knew this was the venue for us. Even before we booked, Dominika and the team were always quick to answer any questions we had. Every time we visited the venue, we were greeted with a smile, and everyone was so friendly. Before the wedding, we were invited to see the hotel after a refurb, which was a lovely evening of drinks and canapés. The menu tasting was also amazing. All the food and wine were great, it was difficult to choose our final menu! The staff at Royal Berkshire are second to none. Dominika and the wedding team made everything so easy for us, and the whole wedding day went perfectly because of them. Also, the kitchen staff were so accommodating of various food allergies and intolerances our guests had, and everything was as delicious as the menu tasting, if not better! If you want to get married in a beautiful venue with stunning gardens and the nicest and most helpful staff possible, Royal Berkshire Hotel is the venue for you!

The service from you all was fantastic, there was always somebody nearby if we needed anything The food…AMAZING! So many people commented on how lovely the food was, from the canapés through to the wedding breakfast and the evening food. Marc did speak with the chef to pass on the great feedback but again, if you wouldn’t mind passing this on again, we would very much appreciate it. Overall though we would like to thank Royal Berkshire for part hosting literally the best days of our lives. The day was perfect and glad we picked such a beautiful hotel. We will definitely be visiting for drinks on occasion as the place will stay close to us.

Thank you so much. We were really appreciated all the flexibility to make our wedding suit us and all our guests. The food was second to none. We really love the hotel’s setting, very relaxed and comfortable, and all the staff were very friendly, nice and helpful. Special thank you to you, Laura, communication was easy and the planning process was straight forward, easy to follow and we knew everything was going to be just fine!

We would like to express a huge thank you to you, your team and the whole hotel staff for a fantastic day on 29th December. We had an amazing wedding from start to finish – the rooms, the wedding set-up, the food, the service, etc were all first class. All of our guests have been incredibly complimentary about your hotel and so many have said it was the best wedding they have ever been to! In particular we would like to praise the chef on a delicious meal – commented on by so many – especially the lamb which was brilliantly cooked, tasty and tender and for 120 people that is no mean feat!

We held our wedding recently at the Royal Berkshire Hotel and it was absolutely perfect.

From initial contact with Lindsey we were instantly impressed by the rooms, gardens and hospitality. The organisation from the whole team in advance was superb, we had regular contact, the hotel were so flexible with any requests we made and provided superb guidance. On the day itself everything ran exactly to plan, Rob had it all under control, and the whole team were unbelievably helpful and provided outstanding service. The food is incredible, the rooms are so comfortable and the gardens are excellent for photos.

Royal Berkshire gave us the perfect wedding day! Our day was absolutely perfect and completely exceeded expectations because of how excellent the venue was. The staff were absolutely amazing – lots of guests have messaged us saying how lovely and helpful all the staff were. They have commented about how the wedding felt effortless – we couldn’t agree more! We were delighted with the wedding breakfast room setup – extra touches like using the rose petals to scatter on the cake table and welcome table which is something we didn’t ask them to do. Guests have been raving about the food – we knew the food would be excellent from our tasting day, but wow it was even better on the day. The evening food was brilliant too. Our guests were so impressed by the beautiful grounds at the hotel, and said that the breakfast the morning of and after the wedding was very very good. Dominika, the wedding manager, from the moment we met her, was absolutely amazing! She was so organised, reassuring, adaptable, fun and she gave such great advice that really helped us with our planning. Planning a wedding at the Royal Berkshire has been such an enjoyable experience because of Dominika and her fantastic team. We really cannot speak highly enough of the staff there! The Royal Berkshire was just magical and PERFECT in every single way.

We chose it, as we were looking for a venue close to home that we could have privately for our wedding, and my word we could not have chosen a better venue or location. Our wedding was on Sunday 19th May, just a few days ago, and I am literally still on a high, the food, the staff, the way the venue leant itself for all our little quirky requests was truly outstanding.

We had an afternoon tea on the lawns, drinks reception in the bar, an extremely romantic beautiful alfresco ceremony in the Walled Garden, a silent disco under the ‘stars’ and then a simply stunning meal and entire evening of amazing celebrations in the Berkshire Suite. This venue absolutely nailed every single detail, it was punctual, seamless, professional but also very relaxed and attentive. We absolutely loved it, as did our 140 guests, and this isn’t the first time we’ve used it for a function, our charity event 1.5 years ago was equally amazing.

I would 100% recommend this venue for so many reasons. OUTSTANDING.

We are writing to express our appreciation to all of the Royal Berkshire hotel’s team in making our wedding day and stay so special; everything exceeded our expectations and we had the most wonderful time.

The Kitchen – Wow! Incredibly stylish presentation. Everyone commented on how good the food was, from the canapés to the balanced mango tart and berries, but especially the beef. Everyone enjoyed it, cooked spot on to their preferences and thought that the flavour was superb. We thought that the meal itself was even better than the tasting evening.

To Jose for looking after the logistics of organising the guests into and out of rooms and his quiet efficiency in communicating with us throughout the day. The unobtrusive service and teamwork during the meal were exemplary. To the people behind the scenes who set up such a lovely room for the ceremony and table for the meal. Although it was beautifully socially distanced, it didn’t feel it.

Finally to you for all your efforts, patience and excellent communication in putting together such a great package and guiding us through everything.
