The nine-acre Pythouse Estate is located in South Wiltshire’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). It includes two spectacular venues linked by a beautiful tree-lined avenue and an ancient stone bridge. Pythouse Kitchen Garden offers couples a full-service wedding experience defined by natural beauty and underpinned by wonderful hospitality. The team also has exclusive access to neighbouring Hatch House, which is fully licensed for civil ceremonies.
Couples have several options for their ceremony. Hatch House, just a short walk from Pythouse Kitchen Garden, is licensed for civil ceremonies and offers elegant formal gardens for exchanging vows. Alternatively, blessings or non-traditional ceremonies can take place within the walled garden itself. The team is available to guide couples through both locations.
A wedding reception at Pythouse Kitchen Garden is defined by its enchanting garden surroundings and exceptional hospitality. Guests can enjoy seasonal produce from the garden while celebrating in a relaxed yet refined atmosphere.
Pythouse Kitchen Garden’s magical glamping village is tucked away in the beautiful, secluded orchard at the bottom of the walled garden. This unique on-site accommodation option can accommodate up to 24 wedding guests, and there is space to pitch extra tents if necessary. Guests can retire to the glamping orchard at midnight and continue the party into the small hours.
The glamping village is fully equipped, romantically lit at night, and furnished to a very high standard. It consists of six cosy bell tents with comfy beds and fresh linen, a large covered party or family dining area, a well-equipped kitchenette, a breakfast and cocktail bar, very smart WCs, and piping hot showers.
The delightful Shepherd’s Hut makes a wonderful marital boudoir with its sumptuous double bed, ensuite safari-style shower, and WC. The Hut and glamping area are available to your guests from the day before your wedding until checkout (i.e., Friday to Sunday).
There is also a fantastic selection of hotels and B&Bs locally and the team can provide contact details on request.
Pythouse Kitchen Garden’s restaurant team ensures wedding menus are as exceptional as the setting. Led by head chef Darren Broom, the kitchen delivers outstanding dishes made with the freshest ingredients. Every detail is thoughtfully planned, whether catering for an intimate meal or a larger wedding. Couples are invited to sample the menu and meet the team to tailor their dining experience.
Sustainability is at the heart of Pythouse Kitchen Garden. The venue’s menus highlight ingredients grown in its own three-acre garden, ensuring a deep connection to the land. The team has earned a three-star ‘Food Made Good’ rating from the Sustainable Restaurant Association and carefully selects suppliers who share their commitment to ethical sourcing.
Pythouse Kitchen Garden is on a quiet country lane between Tisbury and Semley. A five-minute drive away, Tisbury train station offers direct services from London Waterloo. The venue is approximately 1.5 hours by car from London, 45 minutes from Bath, and 50 minutes from Poole.
Words really cannot describe how special this venue is and how much every member of the team at Pythouse put into making sure everything is absolutely perfect.
We got married here on the 22nd of June 2024 and also booked the glamping site for our guests to stay in. It really was a home from home. Laura is the most attentive and caring woman I have ever met (apart from my wife). Every little detail was taken care of, and it was also done in a relaxed, informal style that made everything feel stress-free.
The food, oh my god! If I died and came to Pythouse then heaven is real. Every meal is bursting with flavour, fresh, and the portions are spot on. From the canapes to the wedding breakfast and then the evening supper, every guest said they had never been fed so well and been mind-blown with each round.
The venue itself is just beautiful, it is natural, welcoming and bursting with the glory of nature. If you get the opportunity to eat in their marquee then this is something not to be missed as looking out on the gardens whilst having dinner is lovely.
I could go on for days, but if you are thinking of having a wedding here, do it!
Thank you to all the team, you made our day so special.

Laura and team, what a wonderful day you hosted for our special celebration. We have had many thank yous saying how much they loved the setting, the garden and the beautiful marquee with all your homegrown flowers. Most of all, how well you looked after us with the lovely food. The guests had never tasted such exquisitely cooked food with an exciting array of accompaniments. A huge thank you and we shall be returning very soon!
Dear PKG team, thank you to each and every one of you for making our wedding the best day of our lives! We are so grateful for everything you did and how accommodating you were. It was simply perfect. The food and drinks were out of this world, the service impeccable, and the attention to detail second to none. Thank you for bringing our vision to life. We look forward to coming back to our special place to celebrate in the future.
I just wanted to write and say a big thank you for hosting such a lovely wedding for Hannah and Callum last weekend. It was such an enjoyable day, and everyone loved being on the terrace and in your beautiful garden. The food was great, the wine excellent, the location perfect, and the weather was fab – but what struck me most of all was how incredibly welcoming and professional your staff are. The two Lauras were very helpful in the run-up and everything on the day was managed in a friendly yet efficient manner. Thank you for making it such a special and memorable day.

We honestly could not have asked for two better people to work with, and both Maddie and Laura made it all so easy and stress-free, which we know it isn’t! They were both a calming presence and managed small tweaks during the day. All our guests said how great the team and the food were. The sun was shining when we needed it to be! Thank you so much.
We are on our honeymoon, reminiscing on what was the best day of our lives. We wanted to extend a huge thank you to you all for making our wedding day so special and making our English country wedding dreams come true.
From start to finish the whole day went by so perfectly. Everyone commented on how stunning the venue looked and how delicious the food was. The best canapés they’d ever had was definitely heard a few times! Everything was so considered, from the tablescapes (thank you for knotting 113 napkins so beautifully!) to the way you laid out the blankets and bar signs- everything was 10/10. The cake was decorated gorgeously, and the food was cooked to perfection. We also loved the use of the outdoor bar for cocktail hour- such a nice touch.
We also had many comments about how kind and wonderful the staff were. We wanted to share some lovely words from Rosie (our singer) and the band the day after the wedding:
‘Also the staff at the venue were amazing! After 12 years of weddings, we have seen it all, and honestly, that was just another level of kind and helpful and thoughtful and … all the nice words!’
We couldn’t agree more and were thrilled we chose to do our wedding with you.
A special thanks goes to Laura for dealing with our many (many) questions and requests leading up to the event. Nothing was too much trouble, and everything was dealt with amazingly.
