Just a little note to say “thank you so much” for everything you did to help make our wedding everything we were hoping it to be and more. From the first time we visited, we knew it was the perfect venue for us. The fact that the house became a home away from home for our family over the course of the weekend, the gorgeous gardens, the layout of the Coach House and its understated yet beautiful design.

What we couldn’t have predicted was just how incredible the whole team was. Lucy, thank you so much for all of your help in the build-up. You left no stone unturned, and we were so appreciative of you answering all of our millions of questions! Then, during the weekend itself, Lucy and Ellie, you were the best! Working behind the scenes to make sure everything just happened, going above and beyond with it all, including our “indoor or outdoor” decision right up to the wire and making sure Sam’s mum recovered from my dad’s drinks assassination before the ceremony!

We had so many comments from our family about how helpful and lovely you were, and we couldn’t agree more. We have such special memories of our magical wedding at Pennard House. A huge thanks to you all for everything you did to help make it was it was.

On behalf of Kayleigh and me, thank you so much for your assistance in organising our wedding day. You have been brilliant! The Excel spreadsheet was so helpful, you were super responsive to all our queries, and on our wedding day, you were great in ensuring everything ran smoothly, as well as staying very calm which helped us to relax and totally enjoy the day.

Also, we want to say a massive thank you to all the Pennard staff. They have all been awesome! Everyone from the wedding team has been so helpful pre-working with you and when you have been absent, and the staff at Pennard who looked after us over the weekend in the house were so friendly and accommodating. It all added up to an unforgettable weekend! Pennard House is a really special venue, and we are so happy we chose to have our big day there.

Our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more. From our first chat on the phone in July 2022 to our first visit to Pennard we knew we had chosen a wedding venue unlike any other.

As soon as we arrived, the incredible Pennard team made us and our guests feel like Pennard House was our home, and that warm, loving and family feeling remained throughout the whole weekend. From sewing on buttons minutes before the ceremony, to providing an extra plate full of sausages for one of my flower girls, the Pennard team went above and beyond at every stage of the day and the sticky toffee pudding was hands down the best I have ever tasted! The tireless work and effort of all of the team behind the scenes made our day run so smoothly. Which made it the most wonderful and magical experience for us and our guests!

And now to you, Charlie, wedding co-ordinator extraordinaire! You were there every step of the way, from keeping me calm and relaxed to being my personal welly boot remover. I will never be able to express my gratitude for the role you played in our day. You are an incredible asset to the Pennard Team.

I’ve just about stopped crying happy tears about how amazing the wedding was! We don’t even know where to start with saying thank you to Hannah, Ellie, Denise, and every single person at Pennard House! The whole wedding, from start to finish, was absolutely everything we could have wished for and more. There is genuinely nothing we would have changed, even the rain in the morning! Thank you especially for being so accommodating with allowing us to make the decision on the outside ceremony so late in the day.

The food was incredible, the service was so speedy and efficient, and a lot of our guests commented on how smiley all of the staff were! From the moment we came to the open day back in 2022 we completely fell in love with the place, and we never viewed any other venue as we knew Pennard House was perfect for us. Having the whole house for the two nights felt so special and really felt like a home away from home.

It’s also worth saying every supplier we spoke to also can’t speak highly enough of you guys! Someone said early on when we were planning that a venue is only as good as the people who run it, and that is certainly what makes Pennard House so amazing.

Thank you so much for everything. We are honestly completely blown away by our experience at Pennard this weekend that we are struggling to find our words of gratitude. The amount of compliments we have received about the day, from the venue to the staff to the food we are completely blown away! Also, a special thank you from us for the care of Bill’s grandad on the day. This was his first trip out for quite some years, and he felt so cared for and effortlessly managed that he was able to enjoy the day with no worries!

Thank you especially to Denise and Lucy! We were so grateful for our hour of sunshine and despite the forecast, you worked so hard to get us some time outside to enjoy the beautiful grounds. Despite the downpour midway (which created some amazing photos!). We really had the day of our dreams!

Thank you so much for our incredible wedding in June- we had the best weekend, and we’re so glad we chose Pennard House. It was absolutely perfect. From the Church at the end of the lawn to the incredible service (which lots of guests commented on!), the stunning onsite accommodation, to the air conditioning in the Coach House! The food was also absolutely delicious. We are so grateful for how helpful you all were throughout the entire process and how personal the wedding felt. Thank you.

We had the absolute best day on Saturday. We wouldn’t have changed a thing – it was perfect. Thank you so much to you and Ellie for being with us throughout the day and on the Friday to help us with everything and guide us through. We couldn’t have done it without you both! Also thank you to Sue and Harry for looking after us at the house and for the delicious breakfasts. It really felt like home away from home for a few days and all of our family felt relaxed and really enjoyed their stay. Thank you also to Georgina for showing us round initially and always being on the other end of the email when we were first choosing Pennard for our wedding.

Pennard doesn’t feel like a business or a wedding factory, it is well and truly made to feel like home. There is a charm about the place that is indescribable but is so special. Even every vendor has returned saying it is the best venue they have had the pleasure to work at and that they had all been so well cared for.

Is it possible for a wedding and a wedding venue to be utterly perfect?

Well we think so after our son and daughter in law said “I do” at Pennard House last weekend. From our arrival on Friday afternoon to departure on Sunday morning everything was a sheer joy and delight. So many of the guests have made such positive comments supporting our assertion that everything was perfect.

I’m not sure anyone can claim that they organized the weather but that was just perfect also. Not too hot, not too cold, a gentle breeze and bright sun, perfect. It even inspired the groom and best man to enjoy a dip in the pond the night before the wedding.

The pre wedding planning and liaison between Charlie and the lovely couple set the tone for the actual event during which every single member of staff were exemplary in the manner that they unobtrusively, but with a warm smile, ensured everyone was happy and everything flowed seamlessly.

It is impossible to pick out one particular highlight but I must mention the wonderful, homely, feel of the main house. It felt as if we were being handed the keys to our dream home for the weekend.

Thank you to every single person that was involved at Pennard House together with the caterers, florists, photographer, the Haus band and anyone else that made for a perfect weekend.

Thank you so so much! It has been an absolute joy working with you and thank you for all your support throughout. I’ll be sad not to speak to you all again!

I think everyone we’ve spoken to at the wedding and since has commented on the food; how delicious it was and how generous the portions were. Lots of people have said to us that they couldn’t believe the quality of the food too given how many the kitchen was cooking for. It really added a level of quality and sent people into the evening with full stomachs which was great! I did thank the lady who was orchestrating all the waiters and waitresses there, but please do pass on my thanks to her and the kitchen/chefs. It was all superb!

The venue is perfect and the staff can’t do enough to make you feel at home and at ease there, as well as helping you bring all your ideas to life. Your home became our home for the most magical weekend of our lives. Pennard House is the most spectacular place, we are so grateful for everything it is. We never saw any other wedding venues, because, frankly, why bother!?

You have created a venue that is a home, that is probably because it has always been a home and with that you have built up an incredible team which all feel like family.

Lucy is a superstar! We adore her and are still so grateful she was our wedding director. Her attention to detail and patience was second to none, and of course this came with her smile and warmth. Lucy worked so hard throughout the day and night to make sure our wedding was our dream day, she made everything look effortless and definitely went above and beyond. We cannot thank her enough.

To top it off, we also had Ellie on hand to help us. Ellie is the most hardworking and kind individual who only wanted to make sure everything was perfect. I know we tested her at least once, like when Friday night’s dinner was pushed back, but she never made it a problem. Ellie was a smile when we were nervous, someone to help with the finishing touches – simply amazing.

Where do I begin? From the moment we visited Pennard House, we knew we wanted to get married there, and from start to end, it was an absolute joy to plan our wedding with the team. Charlie was our wedding coordinator, and I cannot thank him enough. We broke the mould by having a marquee in the garden and nothing we requested phased Charlie or was too big of an ask, he made the whole process a breeze. Over the weekend, Charlie was a dream, and everything ran so perfectly.

We wanted our wedding to last as long as possible so had a pizza party the night before and BBQ on the Sunday. The food across the entire weekend was absolutely incredible and working with Denise in the run up was a delight.

Pennard House felt like home all weekend, everyone was so friendly, helpful and it made for the most incredible weekend. Thank you so much to everyone for helping create our dream wedding. We cannot recommend this venue enough, it’s perfect!

We owe you all the biggest thank you for helping to deliver the most perfect wedding day we could have ever wished for. From the moment we first saw Pennard House we knew it was where we wanted to get married. The staff from our first viewing have been absolutely incredible, extremely attentive and nothing has ever been too much. They have always replied promptly and offered advice when asked.

Fast forward to being allocated to our Wedding Coordinator, Charlie. He has been absolutely fantastic, nothing has been too much of an ask. We met Charlie the day before to finalise logistics but everything was in hand. Our actual wedding day couldn’t have gone any smoother, we absolutely loved every single minute of it and wish we could do it all over again.

Thank you doesn’t seem enough for everything you and your team have done to bring our day together. We are extremely grateful for everything you have done and would highly recommend anyone to have their wedding at Pennard House, it simply is a magical venue.

The best venue of all time!

Pennard House is just stunning. Aside from the beautiful venue – from the gardens to the coach house, the event planners/staff/caterers are even better. Charlie was our wedding director who organised and planned everything! He was honestly incredible and everything I could want in a planner. I didn’t have to worry about a thing, and I thought I was organised, but wow, he was excellent. Without Charlie, I don’t know what I would have done. He knows what he’s doing and he gets everyone in line. Also, how could I forget the food? Denise and her catering team made sure everyone was happy, plenty of alcohol was served, and the food was spectacular. Australians are picky and we received so much positive feedback about the food. They were over the moon. Don’t miss the delicious canapés. Also, the lamb kofta was the best! Also, the salmon and chicken mains were a big hit! Everything was fabulous.

5* doesn’t do Pennard House justice! Myself and my new husband are totally in love with Pennard House where we had our wedding just over a week ago. It will forever hold a very special place in our hearts – my husband is already wanting to host his 40th birthday there in a few years time! The whole team at Pennard have been amazing from start to finish and made the day seamless. The location is unbeatable in the stunning Somerset countryside.
