The perfect venue!

Pennard Hill was genuinely everything we were hoping for for our wedding. It was really important to us to have a full weekend with our guests which we got at Pennard, and for such great value. The accommodation on site is beautiful and we really couldn’t have asked for anything more. We had an amazing weekend. Pippa, Melissa & all at Pennard hill farm made it all so easy, they answered questions quickly and were always happy to help. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a weekend wedding at an amazing location!!

It’s just so beautiful.

After making many of our most treasured memories at the festival over the years, Pennard Hill Farm was the obvious choice for our wedding. We wanted to share our love of the area with our nearest and dearest – and whilst there’s little-to-no chance of our elderly relatives making it to the Pyramid stage any time soon, we couldn’t wait to make memories with them overlooking it.

It was exciting that the space was a blank canvas, enabling us to create our own vision carved out from what we love, and what our friends and family would love. Pippa was very relaxed and allowed us the freedom to be as creative as we wanted. It was also important to us that the ceremony and the reception were in the same location, as guests were travelling from far and wide. Everybody could have an uninterrupted fabulous time from pre-ceremony drinks to the silent disco finish!

Our families stayed in the cottages, close friends were spread across yurts in an adjoining field and the safari tent, and they were all thrilled that they could make a weekend break out of our wedding in such beautiful surroundings. Logistics such as showers and toilets with external suppliers were easy to arrange as the site is ‘ready to go’ from its festival setup experience. The ceremony area was neatly tucked away by the ‘bridal cottage’ which made getting ready on the morning extra special and (genuinely!) relaxing. Again we made this our own with props and finishing touches.

Everyone from the caterers to the DJ (another Glasto regular) couldn’t believe how perfect the site was. One of the biggest compliments for PHF was the recurring feedback “it almost doesn’t even matter that it overlooks the festival site, it’s just so beautiful!”.

If you’re into ley lines and late nights, the farm is perfect. We truly couldn’t have picked a better place to start married life!

We would just like to say a massive thank you for allowing us to have our wedding reception at your most incredible venue. Everything for us was perfect from start to finish, and we were somewhat spoilt with the weather on Saturday, considering the torrential rain that followed over the next couple of days. We tried to be as respectful to the ground as we could and cleaned up any muddy footprints that were sadly inevitable with that much rain throughout the accommodation.

Our guests have all commented on how beautifully chilled the wedding was and how at ease everyone was and that is hugely down to the type of venue you supply and the help you were to us in the lead up, making sure that everything ran so smoothly on the day. I love hearing everyone’s stories of the day and to be told by numerous people it was the best wedding they’d ever been to was so lovely to hear.

Tom, that food, every single thing we ate was fabulous, family and friends are still talking about “that beef”, the potatoes and Canapés have had people talking all week too, and we would eat it all again today if we could. You and your team created absolute masterpieces that not only tasted exquisite but looked absolutely divine. Pippa, thank you for sorting things for us throughout the weekend and your coordination on the day made it go so effortlessly. I appreciate being given the first batch of all Canapés, too, haha. Melissa, thank you for all the admin side, you made things very easy to organise and that took a lot of pressure off what could have been a relatively stressful time for us. It was also lovely to meet you at the open day.

We will definitely be booking a stay in the Safari tent at some point and no doubt be back for another round of farm feasts, we have been asked to hold a one-year anniversary party people loved it so much but think we’ll be selfish and treat ourselves to some quiet time spent at your beautiful farm. For us being able to watch some of the set up of the Glastonbury site was just awesome and knowing that we will be there in four week’s time, standing in the Pyramid field looking up at Pennard Hill Farm and reminiscing about the best weekend of our lives is something that is keeping us going in the slightly flat aftermath of such a wonderful weekend. So again, thank you to each and every one of your team, and we hope to see you soon.

A magical place for an outdoor wedding!

Lots of people will feel the same way about the place they get married, but Pennard Hill Farm really is a perfect place for anyone who wants something less traditional. It’s set in a stunning part of Somerset, with amazing views across the valley (featuring the Glastonbury Pyramid Stage), and the pagoda field is a beautiful area for a small, intimate ceremony. The cottages, tree tents (and yurts if you choose to use them) are very luxe and, most importantly, mean you can have a big group of your friends/family with you throughout your celebrations. And a dream swimming pool!

Pippa and Melissa were incredible in making sure all our plans came together, and Tom produced the most amazing menu – many of our guests said it was some of the best food they’ve ever had! We would recommend Pennard Hill Farm to anyone – the site is incredible and gives you the option to tailor everything exactly as you like.
