The graceful curved staircase leads to the beautifully restored Assembly Hall with a vast array of original features including the imposing 1930s chandeliers and original sprung dance floor. The Town Hall also includes the Gold Suite, a more intimate space for smaller wedding and civil ceremonies.
The Assembly Hall is suitable for a variety of events and has the option of hosting both wedding ceremonies and celebrations providing a whole day’s experience in one venue. Accommodating up to 300 people for a seated dinner, the large main space can then be broken down into three smaller rooms, with the original floor-to-ceiling partitions, great for hosting more intimate events.

During the planning of your wedding, the team at Petersham Nurseries will arrange for you both to meet with one of the chefs, where you will design your menu together. Their menus are put together using only the best, carefully and naturally sourced ingredients supplemented with edible flowers, herbs and heritage vegetable varieties from the Petersham House Walled Kitchen Garden.
You are fortunate to have two talented in-house florists who are able to consult on flower arrangements, helping you envision and create the most perfect seasonal displays to compliment the natural beauty of Petersham Nurseries.
If you are having trouble deciding on where to have your wedding list, or indeed to have one at all then maybe you can be persuaded by the beautiful selection of gifts in the shop to suit all tastes and budgets. Clissold House is a stunning Grade II* listed space set in the tranquil surrounds of Clissold Park located near Hackney, East London and North of the City. This eighteenth century mansion house offers expertly restored architecture, beautiful interiors and a stunning outdoor terrace.
The Vibe
Recently refurbished, this space is a stunning setting for a range of events. The large ornate windows flood the space with natural light and offer guests exceptional views across the park. Original features such as marble fireplaces and the iconic spiral staircase ensure a breathtaking experience.
The house offers two main rooms on the first floor with outdoor terrace. The Drawing Room, Dining Room and adjoining Hallway are perfect for the most stylish of weddings, providing space for a ceremony followed by a seated dinner or standing reception.
