With a dedicated Events Planner, they are ready to help you plan the perfect day.

The Setting

Turn into the picturesque Canonbury Place, taking in the rural gardens and stunning Georgian architecture, you will then find yourself at the door of the historical Canonbury Tavern. Upon seeing the Secret Garden you would never guess that such a grand venue was just around the corner.

A short walk from Islington Town Hall, Highbury and Islington station and Canonbury station, there are excellent transport links for those late night journeys home after a fantastic day of celebration.

The Vibe

A historical haven, The Canonbury Tavern was built in the early 1700’s. George Orwell, who lived in Canonbury Square, wrote part of 1984 whilst sitting under the great horse chestnut tree in the garden. Maintaining the authentic features, The Canonbury was fully refurbished in 2015 to replenish it’s former glory.

Accommodating intimate receptions in the classic first floor Blue Room and grand receptions in the restaurant and garden, the venue is flexible to your requirements.

An in-house Events Coordinator will make planning your wedding calm and seamless, suggesting the best choices for drinks reception and dining packages tailored to you. The Canonbury Tavern prides itself on quality, seasonal British produce. The Canonbury Tavern can provide;

So if it is a small intimate wedding or a grand reception, The Canonbury can host it with style and flare. The vibe is definitely relaxed as they offer an easy and effortless solution to a stylish reception.

The Setting

Nestled down a winding, country lane lies The Secret Barn. Surrounded by open farmland with far reaching views of the South Downs, this authentically, rustic hideaway has beams and original flooring and is not a “done up” wedding barn. We love it all the more for it’s cracks and creaks.

The Vibe

If you are looking for a formal wedding-y venue then The Secret Barn is probably not it. If, however, you are looking for something more relaxed and properly rustic, well they have that in spades!

There is an orchard perfect for a ‘Darling Buds Of May’ style ceremony, old beams crying out for fairy lights, floorboards begging to be danced on and blankets strewn over the farmer’s haybales for toasting marshmallows on the fire pit. You get the idea.

Afterwards, you and your happy campers can trip trap over the rickety bridge to your tents in the paddock to sleep under the stars.

The barn has good access and disabled loos are available to hire if necessary. Simply speak with the team about your requirements.

The Setting

Hazel Gap Barn is a gem of a building on the Welbeck Estate in Nottinghamshire. The Barn is set on its own in lovely countryside some distance away from the well-visited Welbeck Village.

The Vibe

Two traditional red brick farm buildings – the Barn and the Farmhouse – stand on either side of a stunning courtyard with a fountain, benches, trees and planters, sheltered from the wind and perfect for post-ceremony drinks.

This is a magical place at night with flares, firepits and lovely lighting.

A new Oak Room forms the link between the barn and farmhouse, containing a light-filled dining room with country views across the lawn and into the woods and a fabulous bar opening into the courtyard.

The Barn has been re-roofed with traditional oak timbers, and a fireplace, fairy lights and giant candelabra have been added to make the most perfect Ceremony Room. After the evening meal, this room will be transformed into the dance floor, where you can party until 1am! Licensed for 150 for a ceremony, they can hold an additional 150 in the evening.

They only use the best ingredients in their food and serve feast-style food in bowls on the tables. This is the place for you if you want a relaxed feel, with incredible food and excellent service.

*150 guests for the reception and meal, but up to 250 for the evening celebrations!
