The Setting
Deer Park offers a stylish country house experience where service is professional but never intrusive. Their well-equipped bedrooms have a refined, delicate elegance and for a cool wedding suite with a difference there’s a thatched tree house set within a cluster of beautiful old oaks, complete with log burner, roll top bath and wrap-around balcony.
Be prepared to relax and eat well there. Menus feature the estate’s own home-grown fruit, herbs and vegetables picked each day, whereas fresh fish comes from the early morning market at Brixham. Several local sparkling wines also feature.
Discover an unforgettable world of comfort and creativity in the heart of East Devon. Guests can easily slip off-site and explore the dramatic Jurassic coastline, Dartmoor National Park or the county’s lai-back capital; Exeter. Around the house, everything from archery and clay shooting to falconry and fishing can be arranged.
Imagine your wedding in a completely new way.
The Vibe
For an unforgettable wedding, party or retreat, Deer Park provides the perfect backdrop. 80 acres of timeless spaces filled with inspiring, imaginative touches. Pared down or turned up, every occasion is a sensory experience.
Let the day’s mood dictate each activity. The air is purifying, nature surrounds, hospitality and sustenance combine with private serenity. This is a place to recharge, to think, to grow… in a variety of spaces, both indoors and out. It’s a seductive space to share with family and friends.
On arrival, you’ll be given a guided tour – The Orchard, The Orangery, The Walled Garden… No space has been overlooked.
Deer Park is a celebration of experience and adventure, contrasting the impeccable with the informal. The sense of communion with nature, low impact and high pleasure are all the components of a great destination.
Menus are thoughtful with a rustic warmth. Provenance is an obsession there, fig trees mature in the sun, fresh rosemary or lemon basil might adorn a gin and tonic at sundown. The estate grows its own fruit, herbs and vegetables and has its own wood-fired clay oven. Outdoor cooking is what they adore, whatever the number of guests, they promise to impress.
Guests have the freedom to ask for anything; wild cherry compote, fresh fruit salad with their own apricots and peaches, lavender cake, organic juices, garden vegetable tempura – everything can be picked to order.
Get ready to relax, reconnect, revitalise and be thoroughly impressed.
