The Great Tythe Barn is situated in the rural Cotswolds, just a 10-minute walk or 2-minute drive from Tetbury. It is surrounded by fields and farmland yet easily accessible by car, bus, or train.

Ceremony

The Barn can host indoor ceremonies for up to 200 guests, and in good weather, an outdoor option is available under the Oak Pavilion.

Post-ceremony, enjoy a drinks reception on the beautiful lawn or in the Barn’s Gallery. The venue accommodates all weather conditions with various drinks packages and canapés served by trusted catering suppliers.

The barn’s ground floor can accommodate up to 200 dining guests with adaptable seating arrangements. After the meal and speeches, tea and coffee are available, and the well-stocked bar is open to all.

In the evening, The Great Tythe Barn transforms into a spectacular venue for receptions with up to 350 guests. A stage and wooden dance floor provide space for a band or DJ, with evening food served to keep everyone energised!

Accommodation

At the end of the night, guests can stay in various onsite accommodations, sleeping up to 90 people. Options include self-catering cottages, B&B rooms, and the 5-star Tythe House.

The Pumping House is an old-meets-new venue featuring two licensed ceremony rooms, a main hall for wedding breakfasts, accommodation, and a large lawn for outdoor drinks receptions. Late licensed until 1am, this beautiful red brick building, with its original and distinctive chimney, is located in the heart of Sherwood Forest.

The tranquil surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for weddings and offer ample opportunities for unique photography. The Pumping House is conveniently a short drive from Sheffield, Nottingham, Lincoln, and Mansfield.

Ceremony

Set over two impressive floors, ceremonies can be held in the Ollerton Room, which features unique parquet flooring and natural light from original paned windows, seating up to 100 guests for civil ceremonies. The Engine Hall is also licensed for civil ceremonies and accommodates 80 to 150 guests.

Reception

Guests can enjoy drinks and canapés following the ceremony in The Conservatory Bar or the beautifully landscaped garden.

The Engine Hall offers an impressive setting for the wedding breakfast. With unique tiling, stunning arch windows, and a high glass ceiling, it creates an illuminating space perfect for weddings with 50 to 170 guests. The room can accommodate various layouts and serves as a versatile canvas for different themes and settings. As dusk falls, guests can dance the night away, celebrating and bringing The Engine Hall to life.

The Pumping House also features luxury apartments nestled at the rear of the historic venue. These ten self-catering apartments provide perfect accommodation for the wedding party.

The venue is set in the High Weald, only a seven-minute drive from the medieval town of Rye and a short stroll from the Norman church in Peasmarsh. The Cherry Barn, with its backdrop of orchards and farmland, is a stunning rural retreat for any wedding or event but is within easy reach of London.

The original traditional oak-framed barn has full-height glass doors and windows that overlook the orchard and give extensive views of the surrounding countryside. The Cherry Barn is a blank canvas where couples can make it their own.

They offer exclusive 48-hour hire periods and can comfortably seat up to 150 guests. The Cherry Barn is licensed for weddings, but for those wanting a religious ceremony, the Norman church of St Peter and St Paul in Peasmarsh is only a short stroll away. Their oak-framed gazebo means they can also offer outdoor ceremonies.

The Cherry Barn has drop-off points for those needing easy venue access. It also has accessible toilets, double doors, and same-level/no-stair spaces.
