Berwick Lodge is set in 18 acres of secluded, stunning grounds on the outskirts of Bristol. With views over Wales, it is surprisingly close to the M5/M4 motorway links for easy access.
The Vibe
Berwick Lodge is everything you’d expect from a lodge – an intimate venue with open fires and cosy lounges – but with a luxurious yet relaxed feel that’s impossible to put into words!
The style would be described as elegant with an East meets West twist. Chandeliers hang from the ceilings, natural light streams through the windows, and unique furniture enhances the Victorian building’s character.
The 18 acres of grounds at Berwick Lodge are a treasure trove of unique features, including an impressive stone fountain, marble gazebo, Victorian summer house, tree swing, children’s playhouse, and an orchard. These elements add a touch of whimsy and charm to the venue, making it a perfect backdrop for your special day.
Civil ceremonies take place in the Mews, a beautiful ceremony room converted from the original stable block. It has lots of natural light, chandeliers, and views of the countryside beyond. In good weather, ceremonies can also take place in the beautiful gardens.
Their 14 exquisite boutique bedrooms are all individually designed and named. They have been installed with all the little finishing touches and luxuries that provide relaxation and comfort to you and your guests.
Food is at the core of Berwick Lodge, and the staff is very passionate about it. The delicious food, provided by the in-house team, is served from specially created wedding menus, using seasonal and local ingredients as much as possible.

Their wedding co-ordinator Georgia, with help from the owner Sarah, who takes a personal interest in all of their weddings, is available to help as much or as little as you need in the planning process. The Setting
Barnston Lodge is a beautiful 18th Century manor house with stunning grounds in the heart of the Essex countryside.
It’s surrounded by wildlife, fields and grazing horses. The extensive lawns stretch down to a beautiful lake, making a stunning backdrop for any photos.
Also included: a rare nineteenth century summer house known as the Brew House, which would’ve been used to make beer back in the day. Today, though, it’s a candlelit snug where guests can retire from the dance floor and cosy up around the large fire.
St Andrew’s church is a stone’s throw away from the venue. It’s a Norman church which provides the perfect country setting to get married in.
The Vibe
At Barnston Lodge, they offer their grounds exclusively to you for the entire weekend. This includes lots of support from the venue owner, Jane, and access to ‘The Brew House’, a candlelit summer house complete with open fire.

At Barnston Lodge they are proud to offer a bespoke wedding service to create the wedding of your dreams. From country-traditional to festival themed, their space is versatile for you to enjoy a wedding that best reflects you. Their favourite so far has definitely been a wedding inspired by the Deep South, where Rosie and Paul walked from the church to venue accompanied by a marching band!
The Setting
Littlefield Manor is a beautiful venue for your wedding reception or special event. It is set in a peaceful location amidst 400 acres of farmland with stunning countryside views, just 3 miles from Guildford.
The Vibe
The long rural driveway leads to the beautiful Jacobean-fronted house with surrounding farm buildings. Parking for your guests is situated at the rear of the farm.
The private gardens form several distinct areas for your celebrations;
The grounds are suitable for a relaxed barbecue or hog roast but are equally suited to a more formal seated reception in your chosen style.
The Manor House itself has two homely double bedrooms for guests to stay in, and there is also the option for guests to camp or glamp in an additional field on the farm overnight.

Romantic, Intimate Weddings
If you are looking for a smaller elopement-style venue, then the newly converted barn at Littlefield Manor is perfect.
Enjoy a relaxed ceremony in the gardens (weather permitting) or in the main house’s drawing room, followed by an intimate lunch or dinner in the barn. To complete your special day, you can even stay overnight in one of the guest rooms.
The Setting
Colshaw Hall is a private country estate where couples can marry, celebrate, relax, and stay overnight in a dreamy location. Its countryside setting spans almost 300 acres of manicured gardens and photogenic grounds.
The estate is nestled in Over Peover, a beautiful Cheshire village two miles from Knutsford. Alderley Edge, Wilmslow, and Hale are also close by. Despite its enviable location, it is also easily reached by car and public transport (the nearest station is Chelford), and Knutsford is just under ten minutes by car.
There is accommodation on the estate for up to 50 guests and plenty of additional accommodation nearby.
The Vibe
Colshaw Hall is an exclusive, bespoke country estate venue. It’s a peaceful and private place to get married, combining the best country hall chic with immaculate, contemporary interiors.
To help you prepare for the big day, Colshaw Hall has an elegant Makeup Lounge with stunning décor and plenty of space to get aisle-ready. There’s also ‘The Den’, a spacious area where the wedding party can relax and even indulge in table tennis or table football before the ceremony.
There’s a barn-style ceremony room with oak beams, limestone floors and light-filled leaded windows overlooking a lake, waterfall and fountain. Once your ceremony is complete, you can toast your wedding in the manicured walled gardens just outside the Peel Suite, a dedicated space for your wedding breakfast and evening celebrations.
If you wish to take a break from the dancing, there is a stylish bar and Pavilion with ample space for your family and friends. You’ll have full exclusive use of the estate including Japanese, Magnolia and Walled Gardens, a lake and fountains as a backdrop for your wedding photographs.
When your day is complete, you can stay in the luxurious hall with seven interior-designed bespoke bedrooms. Colshaw Hall also has cottages, eco-lodges, and a Bridal Lodge on site so that it can sleep 50, and plenty of other accommodation is nearby. Breakfast the following day is complimentary and served in the Orangery.
When you book at Colshaw Hall, you also receive a toastmaster and wedding coordinator included in the price, who will look after you on the run-up to and on your big day. It’s a magical family-run venue with consistently positive feedback!
