The Setting

Nestled in a pocket of six acres of woodlands, meadows and country fields, Abbots Court is a slice of Dorset heaven.

Located just off the A31, a mere 14 miles from Wimborne Minster or Poole makes it easily accessible for guests travelling to and from the wedding.

The Vibe

Weddings at Abbots Court offer guests the unique experience to enjoy a weekend (minimum) long experience with full and exclusive use of their country house, with onsite accommodation for 18-21 guests (plus the option of Glamping Pods in their glamping area).

Choose from their converted Victorian Stables or the Walled Garden for your ceremony, followed by the Pavilion and Walled Garden for your Wedding Breakfast and Evening Reception. Their part glazed pavilion boasts uninterrupted views of the garden with an outside bar, pizza oven, fire pit and pétanque lawn, all softly lit with subtle festoon. Round tables and a long top are available for the Wedding Breakfast with cross back oak chairs, subtle draping and impressive lighting. A fully stocked bar, designated stage, dancefloor and posh toilets mean you have everything on site for the perfect day.

The house itself sleeps up to 18 (plus 3 sofa beds) and they can also offer 6 Glamping Pods & 4 Bell Tents, each sleeping 2 beyond the Walled Garden – perfect for friends!

All catering is outsourced, and they have a varied, but excellent, list of suppliers that will ensure your day goes without a hitch. Food trucks for the evening reception is not a problem.

For the daytime reception, choose from their drinks packages or take your own Wine/Champagne for a corkage charge (limits apply). There will also be two bars operating on the day of the wedding.

Live bands are not an issue, and there will be a raised area by the dancefloor (in the Pavilion) for them to set up. Please note they are licensed for amplified music until 11pm with all guests off site by midnight, apart from those staying in the house and glamping pods.

The Setting

Surrounded by spectacular French countryside (think rolling hills and sunflower fields aplenty), Le Château Charmant is a 10 minute drive from Aubeterre-sur-Dronne, officially listed as “One of the most beautiful villages in France” since 1993.

Aubeterre is also famed for its underground Monolithic Church, the Church of Saint Jean (where you can have your ceremony!), it’s lovely boutique shops and well-loved cafés and restaurants.

This beautiful venue is only a one hour drive from Bergerac Airport and one and a half hours drive from Bordeaux Airport.

The Vibe

With stunning grounds and opulently decorated interior spaces it is the perfect combination of country living with interior chic.

The gîte in the grounds makes self-catering possible and the remainder of the 28 guests who can be housed on site, stay in the main château building.

Whilst the château is large is size and formal in appearance (great for events), the interiors are cosy and it is therefore the perfect combination of homely and stately.

It is also extremely good value for the price – allowing a high end private hire event at reasonable prices.

The Setting

The Grand Château is set right in the heart of the Dordogne valley, towering over the river itself. It overlooks the most famous chateaux of the Dordogne and has unbeatable views. Classy and grand without feeling too formal or stuffy, there is a relaxed beauty everywhere you look – and don’t forget the infinity pool; the ideal place to host your day after party.

Airport-wise, you and your loved ones can choose from Bergerac, Brive, Bordeaux or Toulouse!

The Vibe

Grand by name and nature, this elegant château is the perfect backdrop to the most romantic day of your life.

The main interior salle de reception can welcome up to 60 guests (and up to 100 if other internal spaces are used alongside). For larger events a marquee overlooking the valley below is stunning.

The infinity swimming pool is where most people spend the majority of their summer hours, and the adjoining pool-house with BBQ, toilet facilities and shower room is a real bonus.
