North Cadbury Court is set in 1,500 acres of beautiful Somerset countryside in the village of North Cadbury, offering all the English charm and elegance of a country house wedding and the most unforgettable celebrations! The house and grounds are available exclusively for a minimum two-night stay, offering guests the luxury of time to relax, celebrate, and create lasting memories while accommodating up to 82 guests staying on site.
The Montgomery family have owned and lived at North Cadbury Court for over 100 years, creating an atmosphere that prioritises warmth, fun, and relaxation. A dedicated Event Manager supports couples from planning to the last dance, ensuring every detail is taken care of.
Whether it’s an outdoor ceremony, the character-filled North Hall, or the elegant Ballroom, couples will find a setting that perfectly suits their special day. Civil ceremonies take place in either the large, airy Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 200 guests, or the cosy, wood-panelled North Hall, which can accommodate up to 150 guests. The North Hall is ideal for making a grand entrance from the stunning oak staircase. For a traditional touch, pretty St Michael’s Church is just next door, hosting up to 250 guests with a private entrance to the grounds. For beautiful outdoor weddings, surrounded by rolling Somerset countryside, there’s a choice of popular options around the grounds, including under the pretty garden gazebo, by the picturesque lake, or on the lawns with the backdrop of the house.
Weddings are all about joy and togetherness, and North Cadbury Court is designed to create a celebration full of personality and fun. After the ceremony, the house’s attractive lawns and terrace provide the perfect backdrops for an outdoor drinks reception, whilst indoors, the Morning Room, Library and North Hall offer the perfect spaces to gather with a glass of bubbly and canapes in hand. For the wedding breakfast, intimate gatherings with 80 seated guests can be hosted in the cosy North Hall, or a banquet for up to 150 can be hosted in the elegant Ballroom. For larger celebrations, with the addition of a marquee, up to 200 guests can be seated across both rooms. The best thing about North Cadbury Court is the night doesn’t have to end! Dance the night away in the basement disco or become a high roller in the cellar casino with no curfew!
Guests are at the heart of a wedding celebration, and at North Cadbury Court, everyone can stay together and feel truly at home. The main house has 21 beautiful bedrooms across two floors, each unique with stunning décor and featuring fabulous four-poster beds, antique furnishings and art. A further 21 bedrooms are available across the charming Coach House cottages, vibrant East Wing flat and peaceful Yacht Club by the lake, meaning up to 82 guests can all stay together on site. Glamping options are also available on the grounds for extra guests.
The venue offers a range of on-site activities, from relaxing in the indoor heated pool, hot tub, and sauna to outdoor pursuits such as paddleboarding, zorbing, canoeing, tennis, squash, and rooftop golf.
With no packages or corkage fees, North Cadbury Court offers complete flexibility to create a truly personal dining experience. Couples can choose from a carefully curated list of exceptional caterers to create a wedding breakfast that perfectly reflects their style and taste. They are also free to bring their own wines, signature cocktails or champagne, free from any corkage fees.
North Cadbury Court is easily accessible by road and train from London and the rest of the South West. If arriving by air, the Court is one hour by road from Bristol and Exeter and one hour and 45 minutes from London Heathrow.
