Micklefield Hall sits within a private 350-acre working farm in the Hertfordshire countryside. There’s a pond, sweeping lawns, and a 450-year-old oak tree that adds a sense of history to the grounds. The gardens include herbaceous borders, a French terrace, and a rose garden; plenty of space for guests to explore or relax throughout the day.
The venue is licensed for civil ceremonies, with the option to hold your vows in a choice of locations. One highlight is the temple by the pond, framed by the ancient oak tree. A striking backdrop for the ceremony itself.
The Great Barn and surrounding gardens are available exclusively for your day. Inside, the award-winning Tithe Barn can host up to 200 guests for the wedding breakfast, followed by dancing and evening celebrations. The space includes lighting, chairs, a dance floor, a stage, a sound system, and a catering area, so everything is in place for a smooth event from start to finish.
Micklefield Hall is easily accessible, located close to Rickmansworth, Chorleywood and Croxley stations. It’s just off Junction 18 of the M25 and within easy reach of both the London Underground (Metropolitan Line) and National Rail services, connecting it directly to London and the South East.
Thank you and the team for helping to bring our dream wedding to life!
We were overwhelmed by how amazing the ceremony went, and everything was just perfect. The food, the weather, the beautiful setting and everything were well beyond our expectations!! We were impressed and taken aback by how well you and the team took control of everything for us on the day, allowing us and our guests to relax. We also appreciated your and Anna’s flexibility in allowing us the elements we wanted on the day; it contributed to our perfect day. We cannot thank you enough for your support!!
So many of our guests have commented that this is the best civil ceremony they have ever attended with such a beautiful setting! We also received so many comments about how well-organised and perfect the day was, so thank you, as you were the key to this! We are super grateful to have created unforgettable memories to last a lifetime, and Micklefield will always hold such a special place in our hearts!!
Well, it was an amazing triumph, right? People have commented on the brilliant day, the quality of the venue, the food, the ambience, and the guest experience and enjoyment. I’ve had a lot of comments about the attention to detail. Although I’m going to claim the glory – we all know that your application, dedication, organisation, spotting of opportunities on the day and sheer professionalism made this thing so fabulous. Obviously, I am biased, but it’s the best wedding I’ve ever been to for the content and sheer enjoyment that people seemed to get through the day. So thank you, thank you for putting up with me and thank you for making it all so very special.
We just wanted to say a huge thank you for the most perfect day on Saturday. We couldn’t be happier, and much of that was down to your unflappable organisation, attention to detail, and energy that lasted all day to ensure all our plans came to life exactly how we wanted – despite the traffic that day. We were particularly impressed with how you coordinated all the staff and managed to be everywhere at all times but far enough to make it feel like our private day. Thank you and all the team at Micklefield.
