The venue can be accessed from 10am on the day of the wedding, sometimes earlier, and on the day before by arrangement. The wedding ceremony will normally start in the early afternoon. The Gardens will close by 9pm by which time your guests will have moved to the Coach House venue. If you are holding a marquee wedding then the Gardens will close at dusk and guests must have moved to the marquee. Guest must depart the Coach House by 12pm, with music off by 11.45pm.
The Garden Pavilion, Grottos, Orangery and the Coach House are all licensed for civil ceremonies. If the weather looks uncertain, couples can choose to hold their ceremony in the Coach House. The ceremony is conducted by a registrar from Dorset County Council.
The Coach House will accommodate weddings of up to 120 guests seated for the wedding breakfast. A 9 x 12 marquee is included in our venue hire and is usually sited next to the Coach House for additional outdoor cover. Couples may however erect a marquee on the lawn which could accommodate up to 400 guests. This venue hire price however will remain the same.
