Lovingly converted Grade II listed barns set on a beautiful family farm in the heart of North Yorkshire.
Nestled next to the River Swale with far-reaching views across to The White Horse of Kilburn, Lodge Farm provides the picture-perfect backdrop for your wedding.
Their peaceful farm is just 10 minutes from the market town of Thirsk, with its East Coast mainline train station (1 hr 50 mins from London Kings Cross) and extensive accommodation options, and within striking distance of the A1(M) for any guests travelling from the north or south.
This beautiful family farm offers exclusive-use venue hire for your wedding day. With access the afternoon before, you can enjoy time with family and friends, making the barns your own and setting up for the following day. Their on-site 5* award-winning bed & breakfast sleeps eight people, meaning you can begin the celebrations getting ready together with your wedding party or family.
Their lovingly restored Grade II listed 200-year-old ceremony barn is fully licenced for you to get married in. It provides a stunning backdrop to exchange your vows with 62 windows and original oak trusses wrapped in fairy lights. Following the ceremony, couples can exit via the huge barn doors to have confetti on the patio and enjoy welcome drinks and canapés whilst enjoying the sunshine in the stunning courtyard.
Access to their paddock with its wildflower borders, stunning views of The White Horse, and romantic wood ensure your photographer will be spoilt choosing where to take your wedding pictures.
Wedding breakfasts are held in the modern grain store – this tactfully restored building juxtaposes the 200-year-old brickwork with contemporary anthracite steelwork and polished concrete floors. Handmade lighting features and exposed wood make this space perfect for celebrating.
When it’s time for the first dance, they dim the feature lighting, and you can take to the bespoke dance floor to get the party started! Their “snug” is a warm and cosy space complete with Chesterfield sofas for guests to socialise and relax whilst keeping an eye on the action on the dance floor.
When the daylight begins to fade, the festoon lighting illuminates the courtyard with a soft light perfect for your guests to enjoy a drink whilst your street food caterer provides the evening food before you head back inside to enjoy the dancing!
Couples can choose their own suppliers to create their bespoke wedding day – garden games in the courtyard or a 7-piece band in the evening. From your first question, the team are on hand to help and advise with any questions you have. They’ll also be on site all day organising behind the scenes, so you can be confident your day will go off without a hitch. From their in-house sound system with mics ready for your speeches to their air con for those warm summer days, they’ve thought of everything so you can relax and truly enjoy the day with your loved ones.
You can arrive at Lodge Farm from 1pm the day before your wedding to enjoy setting up with family and friends. We ask that you collect everything by 11am the next morning so you don't have to worry about taking everything away after the last dance!
Absolutely - there will be someone at the end of the phone and email to answer any questions you may have throughout your wedding planning, then we'll be there on the day before the wedding to welcome you and help you set up and through the wedding day - from showing your caterers where to go to help your band set up. We'll handle all the logistics so you can enjoy the party!
We can sleep eight people on-site in our 5* bed & breakfast, and there are many options available locally for your guests - within a 5-minute drive, there are three local pubs with rooms and just 10 minutes away is a Premier Inn in Thirsk.
Yes, absolutely - though a peaceful rural location, we are just 7 minutes from the A1(M) for anyone coming from the north or south. From London, we are 10 minutes from Thirsk, which has a mainline train station, and we're 45 minutes from Leeds Bradford International Airport. Your guests are welcome to leave cars overnight - local taxi companies are excellent, but your guests will need to book in advance.
