Introducing LIMEKILN, a private-hire event space. Nestled in Sussex, this haven boasts the same trademarks of thoughtful interior design, impeccable service, and signature luxuries that define Kin House in Wiltshire. With a backdrop of Sussex countryside and ancient woodlands, LIMEKILN promises a fully private retreat, offering exclusivity and flexibility to narrate your unique story.
LIMEKILN has a dedicated ceremony space, offering a personalised, memorable experience. If you’d prefer to marry outside, they can also host ceremonies on the south lawn or in their ancient woodlands.
The venue features a spacious dining space for up to 200 guests, a main bar and lounge, a dedicated ceremony space, and a late-night lounge designed for live music and dancing, all revolving around an inviting open-air courtyard.
Each room within LIMEKILN provides a blank canvas, allowing clients to tailor the space to suit their unique requirements.
A split-level Apartment is available, serving as a pre-party dressing area equipped with a circular shower bath, large mirrors, and a hair-washing station.
LIMEKILN is conveniently located just a 40-minute train ride from London Bridge and a 10-minute drive from Tunbridge Wells station, making it easily accessible for guests travelling from London and surrounding areas.
We got married at LIMEKILN in August 2025. It was the only venue we viewed, and from the moment we stepped onto the grounds in September 2024, we knew it was the one for us. The space is absolutely stunning, and it somehow looked just as spectacular every time we returned in the lead-up to our wedding. It’s so well-maintained all year round, and every inch of it has been thoughtfully designed.
When choosing a venue, we wanted to feel like we were in expert hands, but not just part of a wedding conveyor belt. LIMEKILN hit that balance perfectly. From start to finish, we felt like our day truly mattered.
One thing that really stood out was how naturally the space flows from one area to the next. The venue has clearly been laid out with the guest experience in mind; our day unfolded seamlessly, with no awkward pauses or transitions. We chose to have our ceremony on the perfectly manicured lawn (options for a woodland or indoor ceremony, too), and thankfully, the weather was suitable on the day.
What made the whole experience unforgettable, though, was LIMEKILN’s team. Every member of staff, from managers to bar staff and security, was professional and accommodating. We were always greeted personally, supported every step of the way, and even helped with the pack-down at the end of the night. Isla, Jake, Georgie and Hannah were the people we had most contact with, and one of them was always on hand during the day; nothing was too much trouble for them.
LIMEKILN is definitely a beautiful place, but it’s run by people who genuinely care about delivering your perfect day. We feel incredibly lucky to have found it.
Married August 2025
LIMEKILN is a dream-come-true venue. It’s inviting, warm, stylish and immaculate, with several indoor and outdoor areas to move through, throughout your day/night. We wouldn’t have had our wedding anywhere else. The team were also incredible – shout out to Isla, Hannah and Jake, who were fabulous throughout the entire planning process (from over a year out) and on the day itself. We could go to them with any question—big or small—and they’d be so helpful and responsive. Every detail was thought about. Thank you again, we will be back!
Married July 2025
We got married at LIMEKILN in September 2025. It was such a gorgeous venue that, as soon as we walked around it for the first time, we knew we had to get married there. It ticked so many boxes for us – it was warm, welcoming, tastefully designed, and, importantly, had multiple rooms for different parts of the day, which we loved! We had the time of our lives, and our guests enjoyed every moment too. Thank you to Isla, Georgia and Jake for all your help in the lead-up. It couldn’t have gone better!

We have a carefully curated list of recommended suppliers, from caterers to florists and wedding planners, all chosen because they share our style and ethos, but you're welcome to bring your own. We do ask that any suppliers decorating the beams in our halls are taken from our recommended list, to ensure the space is treated with care.
Confetti is welcome as long as it's made from fresh or dried flower petals; outdoor fireworks and sparklers aren't allowed because of our woodland setting, but cold handheld cake sparklers inside are absolutely fine. Have something else in mind? Just ask; we'll always do our best to make it work.
Absolutely. We'll be on hand throughout the planning process to answer questions, guide you through the details, and make everything as seamless as possible. We host two dedicated planning meetings, and we're always happy to arrange catch-up calls along the way. For more intricate styling and supplier support, we'd be delighted to recommend one of our trusted wedding producers.
Our outdoor ceremony spaces, the South Lawn and ancient woodland, are available between April and September, weather permitting. If it rains, Alder Room is a wonderful alternative: a light, airy barn-like space with whitewashed beams, seating up to 180 for ceremonies.
You'll have access to the Apartment from 8am on your wedding day to get ready. Our team will walk you through supplier access times, load-in windows, and how to clear the lodge at your planning meetings.
Yes, dogs are welcome for the ceremony and drinks reception. Once the wedding breakfast begins, the team ask that they be taken off the grounds.
Yes. Our late-night lounge, the Green Club, is the heart of the party: opulent chandeliers, antique mirrored walls, and a floor-to-ceiling bay window that makes for a seriously special backdrop for live music. Speak with the team directly for full details on sound arrangements and any applicable limits.
Yes, the lodge is accessible, with step-free access throughout the main spaces. Please note that The Apartment is upstairs, which may affect accessibility for wedding party members using this space.
Yes, you'll have access to our split-level apartment from 8am on your wedding day. It comfortably accommodates about 15 people and offers a relaxed space to get ready, plus a great vantage point to watch your guests arrive below.
While LIMEKILN doesn't have on-site overnight accommodation, we're surrounded by beautiful nearby Airbnbs and local stays.
