Langley Park is a Grade II* Georgian manor set within 100 acres of countryside near Langley Burrell, on the edge of the Cotswolds. The house sits quietly within its grounds, surrounded by formal gardens, a walled garden, woodland and natural ponds, creating a sense of privacy and scale that suits relaxed, multi-day celebrations.
The estate feels considered rather than showy. Paths lead between garden rooms and open lawns, while the house itself offers elegant proportions and a lived-in warmth. With space to gather, explore and settle in, Langley Park lends itself to weddings that unfold slowly, with time for guests to feel at home.
Ceremonies at Langley Park are shaped by choice and flexibility. The estate adjoins St Peter’s Church, a 650-year-old church where couples may marry or hold a blessing, offering a meaningful option just steps from the house.
Within the grounds, there are several outdoor locations suitable for ceremonies, allowing couples to choose a setting that reflects their style and the season. While the estate does not hold a civil ceremony licence, the range of options across the grounds and church allows celebrations to feel personal and well-connected to the place.
Receptions at Langley Park are shaped by flexibility and scale. The hire includes ground rent for a large marquee on the main lawn, offering space for generous guest numbers and adaptable layouts. Elsewhere on the estate, smaller marquee locations provide options for more intimate celebrations.
Inside the converted stables, a dedicated dining room accommodates up to 50 guests, suited to relaxed dinners or smaller wedding breakfasts. As the day moves into the evening, the celebration can continue beneath the house in Langley Park’s private cellar club. With two bars, three distinct areas and a central dance floor, it offers a late-night setting that feels separate from the main house. Couples are free to bring in their own DJ, allowing the night to unfold at its own pace, well beyond the formalities of dinner and speeches.
Langley Park offers on-site accommodation for up to 26 guests, allowing close family and friends to stay together throughout the celebration. The main house includes 11 bedrooms, with a further two bedrooms in the adjoining cottage, creating a relaxed, house-party feel across the estate.
Staying on site gives guests time to settle in and make use of the wider grounds. Across the estate are facilities for tennis, padel, swimming, football, croquet, table tennis, golf on the irons range and a full-size snooker table, alongside a spa area with a large steam room, massage room, hot tub and ice bath. Mornings are unhurried, with house guests offered a choice of hot or cold breakfast, and the days around the wedding feel as considered as the celebration itself.
Top-class chefs and waiting staff can be arranged by Langley Park, or couples may bring their own team, giving them full control over style and service. This open approach suits a wide range of celebrations, from formal marquee dining to relaxed shared meals, and supports weddings in which food is tailored to personal taste rather than a fixed package.
Langley Park is well placed for exploring some of the region’s most loved towns and villages. Bath is around 25 minutes away; Bristol is 35 minutes away; Castle Combe and Lacock are both within a short drive. These nearby locations offer options for guest accommodation, pre-wedding gatherings or relaxed explorations after the celebrations.
Its position on the edge of the Cotswolds makes the estate an appealing base for a wedding weekend, with countryside, historic villages and cultural centres close at hand.
Langley Park is located just five minutes from Chippenham train station, with direct services from London Paddington taking around one hour. The estate is also within easy driving distance of Bath and Bristol, making it accessible for guests travelling from across the UK.
Children are welcome, but there is open water in three large ponds and a stream running through the estate, as well as a swimming pool and a hot tub (both have covers). Children should therefore be supervised.
