Step into a world of royal history at Kensington Palace, an extraordinary London wedding venue set within the tranquil surroundings of Kensington Gardens. Home to generations of royalty for more than 300 years, the Palace combines historic grandeur, elegant interiors and beautiful gardens to create a wedding setting unlike any other. With only a limited number of weddings held each year, your celebration can feel genuinely exclusive.
Exchange vows surrounded by centuries of royal stories. The King’s Drawing Room, King’s Gallery and Orangery offer distinctive settings for ceremonies, from intimate celebrations to larger gatherings. The King’s Gallery can accommodate up to 150 guests for a ceremony, while the Orangery provides a light-filled setting overlooking its private gardens.
Continue your celebration through the Palace’s remarkable State Apartments, with spaces including the King’s Drawing Room, Cupola Room and King’s Gallery offering elegant settings for drinks and dining. Alternatively, the Orangery, built in 1704, provides a beautiful standalone setting with its own private lawns, perfect for a wedding breakfast, reception and dancing.
There is no on-site accommodation, but there are many high-end luxury hotels in the area.
The venue works with a trusted list of approved suppliers for catering, production, furniture and entertainment, with these services quoted separately. The team recommends contacting suppliers early in the planning process to establish the full cost of your event.
Historic Royal Palaces is committed to protecting its historic buildings, collections and landscapes for future generations, with a goal of becoming nature-positive and carbon net-zero by 2050. Its sustainability priorities include reducing energy use and reliance on fossil fuels, protecting biodiversity, conserving water, and minimising waste; all approved event suppliers are expected to follow the same policies.
