Hyde House is a beautifully restored Victorian country house offering exclusive use for weddings. With 12 bedrooms in the main house and a further eight in the Coach House, plus a bar, lounge and library, Hyde House feels like a private country retreat; a truly special setting in which to celebrate.
The Library, with its sweeping views of the Cotswolds’ rolling hills, offers a peaceful spot to calm pre-ceremony nerves ahead of guests arriving. Meanwhile, the Loft provides the perfect space to get ready in style, filled with natural light, well-lit mirrors and comfortable seating; it has everything needed to make the morning of the big day feel as relaxed and enjoyable as the celebration itself.
Civil ceremonies and blessings for up to 150 guests are hosted in The Grange, a light-filled, spacious room featuring bay windows, rustic oak beams, and farmhouse-style doors that open wide to let the outside in. For those dreaming of an outdoor ceremony, The Arbour offers a beautiful alternative, with celebrations held beneath an oak arbour in the garden, looking out over acres of rolling green fields.
Following the ceremony, guests are welcomed into Hyde Barn for the wedding breakfast, the largest space at Hyde House, a bright hall filled with natural light and connected directly to the main bar. With soft white walls and festoon lighting, its open layout provides a versatile backdrop that can be tailored to any wedding vision.
As the evening unfolds, the barn comes into its own as a celebration space. Guests can dance the night away while moving freely between the dance floor and the copper-top bar next door, keeping the party atmosphere flowing naturally from one room to the next. On warmer evenings, the celebrations can spill out into the beautiful gardens beyond.
Hyde House has 20 bedrooms across the house and grounds, offering everything needed for a great night’s sleep. Each room features its own ensuite bathroom and tea and coffee station, the perfect place to rest after an evening of celebrating. Some bedrooms feature four-poster beds and private seating areas, while the largest room boasts a freestanding copper bathtub. A restorative breakfast is served in the main house before guests head home, feeling refreshed.
Hyde House’s food philosophy is simple: delicious ingredients and unfussy cooking that celebrates the joy of eating. Couples can choose from a selection of canapés, plated starters, mains and puddings, or opt for a more interactive experience with their feasting menus.
Whether your favourite cocktail is an Aperol or Hugo Spritz, a Pimms in the summer months or a Cotswolds Warmer for those chillier evenings, the team at Hyde House can create a bespoke drinks station to reflect the couple’s personality.
For those looking for a hassle-free option, the drinks package covers everything from post-ceremony through to the end of the wedding breakfast, including bottomless bubbles during the drinks reception, half a bottle of wine per person during the meal, and a glass of bubbles for the toast.
Hyde House is situated on the A429 between Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold in the heart of the North Cotswolds. It’s easily reached by road from the M5, while the nearest train station is Moreton-in-Marsh, approximately 4.5 miles away. From there, it’s a short taxi journey to the venue.
We got married here in November and couldn’t of wished for a better day. The day was pretty much seamless from start to finish and all the worries and anxieties you have in the build up to a wedding were totally alleviated by staff. Guests were really complimentary about the family food and there was plenty of it to keep guests full throughout the day.
We got married at Hyde House in December 2019 and its safe to say that it was so much more incredible than we could have imagined. We and all of our guests couldn’t stop saying how amazing Hyde House is and what a beautiful setting it created for our wedding. In the run up to our wedding, the planning team were great – any question we had we just emailed across and always got a speedy response. On the day of the wedding, Matt was incredible. He was so thoughtful and made every effort to make sure we had no cares or worries. The day ran incredibly smoothly (from our point of view) and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect location or team to work with on the day. Thank you to the Hyde House team for being such an integral part to our wedding day, it really was the best day of our lives.
Wow, we are finally coming back down to earth after our wedding at Hyde House. Words cannot express how grateful we are to every single person who helped us plan the wedding and supported us on our big day!
From the moment Millie showed us around back in October 2023, we knew this was the venue for us—the perfect countryside location for our dream Cotswold wedding. The entire planning process was smooth, supportive, and most importantly—stress-free!
We must mention the Details and Dinner nights at Hyde—being able to experience the venue as a guest truly sets you apart from the rest. We thoroughly enjoyed attending these evenings!
Around six weeks before the wedding, we had our final planning meeting with Alice via Teams. Once again, everything was super organised and completely stress-free. After a few back-and-forth emails with some small amendments, our planner was ready for the big day!
From the moment I stepped through the doors on the morning of the wedding, I felt relaxed and in safe hands with Zoe, our wedding coordinator, and Emily for the evening. It’s safe to say the entire day ran like clockwork. We had the most truly amazing day—thank you to everyone at Hyde House who made it happen.
A massive thank-you to all the chefs at Hyde—every single item served at our wedding was absolutely delicious! We had the Greek souvlaki in the evening, and it was to die for. So many of our guests commented on how exceptional the food was. The beef, in particular, was perfect—melt-in-your-mouth quality!
The next morning, we were treated to the most incredible buffet breakfast with our closest friends and family. The standard of the food was outstanding and the variety was amazing—no one went hungry! A special mention to the warm and welcoming Irish lady (we’re so sorry we didn’t catch your name!) who made the morning even more special.
We truly had the best day of our lives and will be forever grateful to Hyde House for making our dream wedding a reality. Every single detail was handled with care and professionalism, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts—for the memories, the magic, and the love.
Married July 2025
Hyde house was the most fabulous wedding venue. From start to finish the team were amazing and I can’t thank them enough! They think of everything, couldn’t of done any more for us and the whole thing ran so smoothly. I wanted to especially mention Matt, who on the day was fantastic and the whole bridal party commented on what a great job he did! Thank you everyone at Hyde House for giving us our dream day.
The venue is perfect – so light, clean and idyllic. All of the staff – right from booking in a viewing – through to correspondence afterwards helped to make our day so special.
Absolutely amazing wedding venue. We got married here in June 2019 and we really couldn’t have wished for anything more. The venue is gorgeous, and all the staff are so professional and friendly and ensured the day ran seamlessly! The food was delicious, and we had lots of compliments about this on the day from our guests. Also the planning team are fabulous and highly responsive throughout the lead up to the wedding. Would highly recommend.
