The Setting

Nestled amidst Repton’s rolling gardens in the Tamar Valley, Hotel Endsleigh is a stunning Grade I listed historic house set in 108 acres of fairy-tale woodland and surrounded by beautiful gardens, follies and grottos. Retaining it’s original character with features such as hand painted wallpaper, inglenook fireplaces and a wood panelled restaurant, Hotel Endsleigh combines a classic elegance with contemporary style to ensure relaxed and stunning surroundings.

The Vibe

The team at Hotel Endsleigh are extremely flexible and they are able to offer a number of locations for the perfect wedding ceremony and party, including their unique parterre designed by Humphry Repton, or the period lounges restyled by Olga Polizzi. In fact, the entire ground floor of the hotel is licensed for ceremonies. In addition to the choice of salons and lounges within the main house, the Hotel also has a large room in the Stables, perfect for larger wedding parties, where even a roaring bonfire in the middle of it’s courtyard, can be arranged. One might choose to celebrate a small intimate ceremony in the Grade I listed Shell House, an atmospheric and intimate space adorned with geological jewels.

Their croquet lawn is the perfect place to have a large marquee for a big wedding! With panoramic views overlooking the Tamar Valley and majestic woodlands, they have it all in abundance.

An exclusive use wedding celebration lets you have the run of this unique setting. By arriving the day before the wedding, you and your guests can enjoy a weekend-long celebration and feel completely at home in the ex-abode of the Duke and Duchess of Bedford. They can cater for any style of food from barbeques to ethnic, as well as traditional. The freshest local food and exquisite desserts reflect the attention to detail, the incredible skills and passion of their chefs and indisputable quality throughout.

After the festivities, retire to one of the Suites and wake up to heavenly views on your first day of married life, and revel in the shear romance of this timeless corner of Devon.

The ethos at Hotel Endsleigh is one of flexibility, and the team endeavours to realise each couple’s ideas to ensure their dream wedding comes true. From a sun-drenched gourmet barbeque on the terrace to a sophisticated á la carte dinner served in any of their rooms, your celebration will be tailored entirely to your vision…
