Hobbit Hill sits within 150 acres of rolling countryside in the Ribble Valley, surrounded by sweeping views of the River Ribble and the hills beyond. The venue’s rustic barn, woodland ceremony space, and distinctive cabins are thoughtfully positioned across this picturesque estate, once part of the legendary Tolkien Trail. Behind the estate, woodland shelters the venue while the land gently slopes down to the river’s edge, creating a private and intimate setting for a wedding day.
There are two ceremony locations at Hobbit Hill, each offering its own atmosphere and charm. The Round Wood provides a candlelit outdoor setting surrounded by trees, with rustic tree-trunk benches for up to 130 guests and gentle lighting threaded through the woodland. An oak pergola frames the vows beneath the open sky.
Alternatively, the Ceremony Room offers an indoor option with views across the Ribble Valley. Seating up to 130 people, this space is connected to the Wedding Barn and can later be used as a quiet retreat for guests.
The Wedding Barn at Hobbit Hill offers a versatile space to celebrate. Its oak trusses and bi-folding glass doors frame the views beyond, opening onto a large stone-flagged terrace. The barn accommodates up to 130 guests for a seated wedding breakfast and up to 250 guests for an evening reception. Inside, there’s a cosy, snug area with a stone fireplace and Chesterfield sofas, a fully stocked bar, a professional sound system, and outdoor seating.
The experienced and dedicated team at Hobbit Hill offer a bespoke wedding package designed to cover every part of your day. Relax in the knowledge that everything has been taken care of.
Hobbit Hill offers a collection of on-site accommodation options, each offering comfort and privacy for you and your guests.
