The Setting
Built in the 1830s, Highcliffe Castle is the realised vision of the rather extravagant Lord Stuart de Rothesay. Created with entertainment in mind, the castle has been home to a number of royal and notable guests over the years.
Highcliffe Castle, situated atop the cliffs of Dorset, is a Grade 1 listed building surrounded by a breathtaking nature reserve and charming beaches. The Castle is a magnificent wedding venue that merges romance with history.
The Vibe
With its Medieval and Renaissance carved stone and Gothic revival features, their Grade I listed building is a one-off for its period.
Say your vows in our light and airy Wintergarden, and then head onto the lawns for your after-ceremony drinks. Don’t forget to take a short stroll down to the beach to get some unforgettable photographs.
You can then dine in the majestic Great Hall with its stunning 30-foot-high, stained glass Jesse Window. Alternatively, your Wedding Breakfast can be served in the atmospheric State Dining Room; it features exposed brickwork and full-length windows that allow you to take in the breathtaking views of the Isle of Wight Needles.
Finally, you can dance the night away with a band or DJ in the Drawing room.
