Built in the 1830s, Highcliffe Castle is the realised vision of the rather extravagant Lord Stuart de Rothesay. Created with entertainment in mind, the castle has been home to a number of royal and notable guests over the years.
Highcliffe Castle, situated atop the cliffs of Dorset, is a Grade 1 listed building surrounded by a breathtaking nature reserve and charming beaches. The Castle is a magnificent wedding venue that merges romance with history.
With its Medieval and Renaissance carved stone and Gothic revival features, their Grade I listed building is a one-off for its period.
Say your vows in our light and airy Wintergarden, and then head onto the lawns for your after-ceremony drinks. Don’t forget to take a short stroll down to the beach to get some unforgettable photographs.
You can then dine in the majestic Great Hall with its stunning 30-foot-high, stained glass Jesse Window. Alternatively, your Wedding Breakfast can be served in the atmospheric State Dining Room; it features exposed brickwork and full-length windows that allow you to take in the breathtaking views of the Isle of Wight Needles.
Finally, you can dance the night away with a band or DJ in the Drawing room.
