Situated in the picturesque countryside and set on six acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, including a heart-shaped lake, Monet-inspired bridge, pretty gardens and neighbouring vineyard, this romantic and charming venue will have your guests in awe and be exclusively yours for your wedding day.

For your ceremony, you have a choice of two beautiful spaces. The rustic charm of the Grade II-listed Essex Barn, with its oak beams and vaulted ceilings, is perfect for an indoor ceremony. A hidden gem from 1750, the barn has been lovingly restored and is flooded with natural light through its tall windows. You can also find the ideal setting for an outdoor wedding ceremony under the pretty thatched gazebo surrounded by lush gardens. It’s a peaceful space perfect for exchanging vows in the sunshine.
After your ceremony, it’s time for your drinks reception; the stable courtyard is the ideal setting. With views of the pond and a picturesque bridge, it’s the perfect place for your guests to mingle and capture stunning photos with your wedding party and together as newlyweds.
Now, on to the celebrations. Their elegant new Orangery is the location for your wedding breakfast and celebrations. With stunning views of the lake and vineyard, this is the most dreamy setting for a memorable wedding reception. The space is flexible and can be decorated to suit your vision for the big day. As night descends, the Orangery also transforms into a vibrant space for your evening festivities.
When the party draws to a close, High House has a secret escape for the newlyweds… the “Couples Retreat”! Tucked away in its own secret garden and accessed through an oak door, the cottage is surrounded by gravel gardens and pretty flowers. Inside, find a luxurious bedroom with a freestanding bath, ensuite and a cosy lounge-the perfect escape for you and your partner on your wedding night.
High House is proud to offer delectable in house catering with menus prepared by talented chefs and tailored to your specific desires. From relaxed barbecues to a traditional three course meal or even a five course luxury menu, you can select a wedding breakfast that perfectly suits you and your guests. Additionally, the catering team at High House offer children’s menus and a delicious selection of evening food options so your guests can enjoy the celebrations well into the night.
