Hidden River Cabins

We were married here in June and everything was perfect – the location, the food, the staff. Our wedding party stayed the whole weekend and so many people were blown away by the location, the serenity and the standard of accommodation. One of our guests said he had never been to a wedding like it – in a good way! We weren’t local to the venue but they were more than happy to reply promptly to emails that were sent across to them asking for advice or to arrange things remotely. We look forward to returning some time in 2019.

Bluebell cabin was a dream wedding venue! Nic, Rob and the whole team could not have been more incredible, they really helped to make our day perfect. Nothing was too much trouble and not only have we found a place to cherish forever but the team really made us feel at home and will be people we will keep in touch with for a long time to come I’m sure. We also stayed in roe deer cabin for our honeymoon which was absolutely blissful, plenty of prosecco and time in the hot tub was just what we needed after such a lovely wedding. When family and friends made their journey home, we celebrated as the new Mr & Mrs Young together with a 2 course meal at the hidden river cafe which has to be one of the best meals we have ever eaten! It was all a fairytale and we can’t wait to visit the cabins and the team again soon! Thank you!

We Stayed here in May at Foxglove & Bluebell cabins for our daughters wedding. The cabins are lovely, clean, comfortable – with everything that you could need, in a scenic location. Rachel and her staff provided us with all of the information we needed in advance regarding shopping deliveries, cot hire etc. The wedding meal was also of a high standard with options for various choices of courses. I would recommend it very highly.

In September 2018 we got married at Hidden River Cabins. We are from the midlands, but travelling to this venue was well worth it. We could fine nothing else like it. We also had many guests flying in from Ireland and it is well positioned for choices of airports. We took over the whole site which was incredible. Not only was it a day to remember, but a weekend! We hired in a marquee and everything needed to equip and got married on the site as having an outside ceremony was essential for us. What a view we had. The Hidden River Cabins team are incredible. The wedding coordinator is amazing – supportive from start to finish. We could not have asked for more. All of our guests commented on how wonderful the food was on the day, the chef is a genius. The site is run by a lovely family and they really make you feel at home and part of it from the very beginning. If you are looking for something different, an incredible backdrop, first class food and premium accommodation, this is the venue to go for. The first time we visited Hidden River Cabins, we knew it would make the perfect wedding venue. The setting is incredible; fields, trees, the river and the log cabins. We knew our wedding would be on the larger side so decided to have a marquee on the first field. We hired a petal pole marquee from Yorkshire Yurts which was decorated on the evening before the wedding after our florist (Fletcher & Foley) had finished filling the marquee with beautiful flowers. Gillian (wedding coordinator) played a huge part in helping make sure the marquee was all set up perfectly for the wedding day which meant we had some time to relax in the hot tubs before the big day. We rented all 5 log cabins for the weekend of the wedding which meant we had complete privacy for the whole weekend. The cabins were the perfect place to get ready and also to relax afterwards. The wedding day itself was everything we had dreamed of. We had welcome drinks and canapés in the cafe area and then headed down the marquee for dinner and dancing. Gillian ensured that everything ran smoothly throughout the wedding breakfast, paying particular attention to guests with food allergies. The standard of the food was exceptional, Tom (the chef) and his team managed to cater for almost 100 guests and every single meal was delicious and presented beautifully. We had a deli style buffet in the evening which was also of a fantastic standard. We knew our guests were all so happy and well looked after by the team at Hidden River Cabins which meant we could enjoy our day to the full with no stresses or worries. We wish we could do it all again! The perfect weekend.
