Setting
Gosfield Hall is a stunning Georgian manor house nestled in a village location among the beautiful Essex countryside. The venue overlooks the sparkling Gosfield Lake and the nearby Gosfield golf course, providing a picturesque setting.
Ceremony
The Queen Charlotte’s Oak-panelled gallery, with its 120-foot-long aisle, offers a perfect setting for wedding ceremonies, as does the stunning Grand Salon with its ornately decorated ceiling. The licensed carriageway allows for outdoor ceremonies on sunny days, with the striking house as a backdrop.
Reception
The Marquis of Buckingham’s former ballroom provides an exquisite setting for the wedding breakfast, accommodating up to 116 guests. Several other grand and elegant reception rooms are also available. The entire house and grounds are available exclusively, allowing up to 250 guests for the evening wedding reception and party.
Accommodation
Gosfield Hall offers 23 beautiful bedroom suites for the wedding night, providing a luxurious end to the day. The breathtaking Rococo (bridal) Suite is especially notable, offering a fabulous setting for early morning preparations and ensuring a memorable conclusion to the celebration.
Getting There
Despite its rural location in the heart of Essex, it is only 30 minutes from Stansted Airport and the M11 to London, making it easily accessible by road, air, and rail.
Gosfield Hall is a listed historic building, which means access is somewhat restricted in places. The venue has a lift to all floors and several ground-floor bedrooms, one of which has a disabled toilet. There is also a disabled toilet by the bar on the ground floor, but none of the bedrooms currently have disabled-friendly bathing facilities.
