Nestled in the Small Hamlet of Glandyfi, this Grade II-listed Castle is an intimate venue. Inconspicuously tucked away behind “The Great Wall of Glandyfi”, Glandyfi Castle stands in 40 acres of landscaped gardens and woodland. To the front of the Castle lies an estuary frontage and sea view, looking out to the small harbour resort of Aberdyfi. Ynys-hir RSPB Nature Reserve is 2 miles away, a testament to the wildlife surrounding this historic castle in Wales.
Glandyfi Castle is licensed for outdoor ceremonies. Its stunning landscaped gardens look down to the castle and out towards the estuary, making it the ideal venue for your picture-perfect outdoor ceremony.
The Castle is an intimate venue with a capacity to seat a maximum of 22 guests at the grand dining table situated within the Atrium. For Weddings of more than 22 guests (maximum capacity 150), additional marquee hire will be required. Glandyfi Castle has an ideal area in the gardens for marquee set-up, accessible via a footpath from the castle itself. The reception can be designed to suit your vision, working together with external suppliers for catering, drinks and entertainment.
With multiple entertainment rooms, eleven bedrooms, and facilities to complement, Glandyfi provides a luxurious experience for you and your guests. Glandyfi can welcome 22 guests for an overnight stay. Nine bedrooms have private bathrooms, and two bedrooms share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom, making them ideal family suites. All bedrooms include a dressing table, wardrobe, hair dryer, and Smart TV. Towels and toiletries are provided for all bathrooms.
Dyfi is Glandyfi Castle’s Honeymoon Suite. It boasts a Superking bed, views across the Dyfi estuary, and a grand private bathroom with a shower and bath.
Cwrt is a wheelchair-accessible, ground-floor bedroom.
Glandyfi Castle operates as an exclusive-use venue with no supplier restrictions on food or drink. You will have access to the castle’s Little White Wedding Book of Suppliers, but the choice of who you book for your wedding is entirely yours. Glandyfi Castle understands a wedding is personal so you can organise your desired culinary and entertainment experience. A welcome hamper of Welsh treats and prosecco is included in all wedding bookings, but Glandyfi Castle provides no other food or drink.
Glandyfi Castle is a 10-minute drive from Machynlleth, a small market town. Machynlleth is home to multiple pubs, restaurants and a small supermarket. The Castle is about a 30-minute drive south of Aberystwyth in mid-Wales, close to the stunning Eryri National Park, where you will find Snowdon! Just 1.5 miles from Glandyfi Castle, you will also find a premium, two Michelin star venue, offering a culinary experience perfect for once-in-a-lifetime occasions.

Follow the private driveway to the castle, then continue past it to find a large car park on your left. The car park can accommodate up to 20 vehicles on hard ground.

Direct trains from Birmingham New Street stop at both stations. You can reach the castle via a 30-minute walk along a footpath from Dovey Junction. Alternatively, pre-book a taxi from either station.

Glandyfi Castle itself can hold an intimate Wedding for up to 22 guests. For larger weddings (up to 150), additional marquee hire will be required within the Castle grounds. Marquee hire is not included in the pricing.
Yes. Glandyfi Castle is a private hire venue with various packages available for 3 days/2 nights or 4 days/3 nights. If extra set-up and break-down days are required, the property must be notified and it will be quoted separately.
