Gaynes Park is a stylish and contemporary barn wedding venue on the grounds of a historic country estate in Epping, Essex. The estate has been owned by the Chisenhale-Marsh family for generations. The venue is approached via a long drive that winds through parkland and farmland, creating an immediate impression of calm and grandeur. Despite its serene country setting, the venue is conveniently located at the end of the Central Line. The Walled Garden at Gaynes Park is beautiful throughout the year, making it an ideal choice for weddings in any season.
The Orangery at Gaynes Park is set within the walled garden and features a long garden ‘aisle.’ It was constructed on the site of a former Victorian conservatory and has wooden beams and numerous windows, creating a light-filled, contemporary setting for civil ceremonies or partnerships. The open-sided Gather Barn outside the Mill Barn also provides a covered space for outdoor civil ceremonies or partnerships.
The Mill Barn, a listed building filled with natural light, is an impressive setting for wedding receptions. It can accommodate up to 150 guests for dining and 200 for an evening reception. The Mill Barn is characterized by its support from four old tree trunks, floor-to-ceiling windows, a mezzanine level, a licensed bar, and a dance floor. Additionally, the Gather Barn offers a covered area for evening barbecues, providing a versatile space for different reception styles.
The Coach House, located nearby, offers accommodation for the wedding party and guests if required for the night of the wedding. It features ten luxurious ensuite bedrooms, a large reception area with comfortable seating, and a dining area where guests can enjoy breakfast the next morning. The charming Apple Loft Cottage is also available before the ceremony to prepare and freshen up at any point during the day.
