Findon Place lies within the heart of the South Downs National Park, offering 53 acres of private walled gardens, expansive parkland, and peaceful woodlands. The Georgian Grade II* listed manor exudes timeless charm, with interiors featuring high ceilings and sunlit, south-facing windows that create a welcoming atmosphere. Gracefully neutral décor allows for individuality and personalisation. Beyond the house, guests can enjoy manicured lawns, informal garden spaces, a kitchen garden, a swimming pool, and a tennis court. This secluded estate provides an ideal backdrop for a private celebration.
The estate has several spaces for ceremonies, whether indoors within the stately manor or outdoors amid the lush gardens. Guests can exchange vows in an elegant and intimate setting tailored to their preferences.
Celebrate your wedding reception in style with options for both indoor and outdoor gatherings. The adaptable interiors and picturesque outdoor areas provide ample opportunity to host your party, and the wonderfully experienced team will be on hand to help you.
Findon Place is a home away from home. With no ticking clocks or televisions, the accommodations encourage relaxation and comfort. Featuring record players and carefully chosen home comforts, guests are invited to treat the estate as their own private country house for the weekend.
Findon Place is easily accessible. The village of Findon and St John the Baptist Church are within walking distance, while Worthing is a mere 10-minute drive away. Gatwick, Chichester, Brighton, and London are all within an hour’s reach. Convenient access via the A24 ensures a smooth journey to this exceptional venue.
Findon Place has long been associated with good taste, good times and good people. Like the house, our list of preferred suppliers has plenty of experience. They are all friendly, creative and consummate professionals. Part of the ethos of the house is to recommend companies that are based within a small radius so that we support local and source sustainably. We are happy for you to use your choice of caterer as long as we have a copy of their insurance and they conduct a site visit to understand the limitations they might find here.
As we are located in the South Downs National Park, part of the Dark Skies initiative, and surrounded by farmland, we do not allow fireworks or sky lanterns. Sparklers, outside and well-managed away from the building, are permitted.
If you'd like to use candles during your celebration, they must be in an enclosed vessel, such as a nightlight holder or lantern.
Yes! We are happy to help you source local award-winning English Sparkling wine to help celebrate whatever the occasion. Corkage is charged at £15 plus VAT per adult guest per event during your stay.
