We just wanted to say a huge thank you to you, Nickie, Simon and all the other staff that contributed to the lead up to our day and on the day itself. Working with Farbridge in planning of our big day has been so effortless and you have all been so accommodating and supportive – particularly when Ed was made redundant and around the second payment. We were extremely grateful to yourselves during that time of unknown. We had so many compliments from our guests on the quality and presentation of the food. It looked amazing! I was so sad I couldn’t eat any due to feeling overwhelmed by the whole day, but I know between Ed and his best man Stuart they ate my meal on my behalf (!!!). I also wanted to say a huge thank you for being so accommodating with dietary needs, particularly around my grandmother and her allergies to the onion family. It’s so difficult for her to eat out these days due to onion and garlic being in almost everything but for her to come out and have something totally different from her usual ‘safe choices’ and to enjoy it was so lovely to see. The waiting staff were fantastic and so professional. They always served with a smile and were so friendly and attentive to ours and our guests needs. Catherine, you worked so hard on the lead up to, and on our big day to make it run seamlessly. We had several comments from our guests, complimenting you and your work ethic. From the first time we met and we had a brief run through on how we envisaged our day, to the actual day itself and the management of the waiting staff, you’ve been so wonderful to work alongside and we truly can’t thank you enough. You’re amazing! Jenny and Sue were so wonderful to be around on the Friday and Saturday morning. Checking if we were ok, advising on timings and generally being attentive to our needs – I hope we weren’t too demanding!! The list of thanks could go on and on! We had the most perfect day surrounded by our closest friends and family. Thank you to you all in helping us achieve that.
There are not enough words in the English Dictionary to express our gratitude for making our wedding as special as it was two weeks ago. Without a doubt testament to your professionalism, good nature, great humour and evident ability to perform as a team. Simon, we had high expectations on the menu you wrote us following our meeting with you in January and you and your team smashed them straight into space! It was certainly the best food we have ever had at a wedding and the most beautifully presented. All our friends and family keep telling us how it was the best food that they have ever had at a wedding too and we can’t thank you enough for putting the ‘fun, flowers and zingy’ twist on it that we asked for. You are your team are very talented. Catherine, on our honeymoon, Chris and I nick-named you: ‘Catherine – the connoisseur-of-weddings’ and too true it is! It has not only been a ‘right old giggle’ working with you on the lead up to our wedding, but on the actual wedding day, you executed it perfectly. The day itself just flowed, you didn’t miss a detail and in fact, added much more with flair – I assure you that despite how busy we were having fun on the day, it did not go unnoticed and once again can’t give you enough thanks for the effort you put in and the experience you gave us – it will last a lifetime in our memories. On to the heroes of the day… We do not know your names and would not be able to pick you out of a crowd, nor you us no doubt, as it was all in a days work for you. We didn’t spend any time with you on our wedding day, however as soon as either Chris and I thought we might have needed something, one of you was there asking us what we needed. As soon as any of our friends and family needed anything… you where there once again. On the day after our wedding everyone who came to the wedding also came to a hog roast at my parents’ house and the feedback about the level of care, attention, professionalism and outright fun was phenomenal to hear. They were all raving about the staff, saying that you made the day for them! As I said, you were just doing your job and do weddings all the time, but for Chris & I, we only had one day and one shot at it and you made it for us too. Thank you all. In summary of what was supposed to be just a little note of thanks, we couldn’t have chosen a better venue, event manager, chef or staff to run the joint – you all super humans and we will remember it forever. With thanks and genuine best wishes for all of you in your lives.
As the Father of the Groom, I wish to express my deep appreciation to you, personally, for the extensive part you played over the last 15 months or so in the advice given, planning and execution of Phil and Rachel’s wedding on the 21st July. It was a dream day, perfect in every way, and loved by all attendees. I understand that you do not normally work on Sundays, but especially wanted this to be an event for you to carry through from beginning to end. How very kind, thoughtful and generous of you, especially as you had been on duty the whole of the day before on another wedding. You must have been exhausted by the Sunday night and, hopefully, enjoyed Monday off. This continuity that you gave was greatly appreciated by the (very) ‘happy couple’ and the two families. We met your boss/the chef and his two little girls as we were leaving on the Monday morning to whom I simply say “I can now understand why Phil and Rachel were so attracted to Farbridge” – its location, beauty, surroundings and wonderful staff like you. I should like you to know that you were spoken of most highly. Your subtle presence on the Sunday did not go un-noticed and, perhaps in a relaxing moment, I believe I saw you checking out the disco during at least the first dance.
We truly did have the best day, even with the rain! Farbridge venue was stunning, and all the staff including yourself were brilliant, you all made us feel so special. From arriving at 11am to leaving the next day after breakfast, we had your 100% care and attention. A special mention to Sue, who helped in every way possible, from getting us drinks to being a full time nanny, reading the kids books, putting my dress on as nobody had a clue to put it on! Sue was a huge help! So thank you! The food was delicious, we thought having our canapés in our room was lovely then coming back to our room after a few drinks to our very own cheese board was amazing! Farbridge really did think of all the little touches! We couldn’t recommend Farbridge more. Thank you so much for all your hard work on the day, both you and the team always made sure we had a drink in our hands! I do blame you guys for my headache the next day! Once again thank you all for our amazing wedding day!
What can we say! A huge “Thank You” does not seem enough! Yesterday was a wonderful day all made possible by yourselves, Catherine and your fantastic team. Your calmness, attention to detail and friendly professionalism contributed massively in making their day a huge success (the day they dreamt of). The food was absolutely amazing! Beautifully presented, piping hot and incredibly delicious. Nothing was too much trouble. Stu and Holly spoke very highly of you from the first time they met you and you certainly did not disappoint, in fact you exceeded expectations. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our Son and Daughter-in-Law’s Wedding Day so memorable. A special message from Mandy, Stu’s Godmother, “Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for taking control of the Wedding Cake Situation and calming me! You were BRILLIANT!”
