The privately-owned estate located 10 minutes north of Alnwick, includes the elegant country house, five luxury cottages, underground games room and fun tree houses perfect for big and little ones alike! The extensive lawns run alongside a peaceful stream with mini waterfalls which leads down to their enchanted woodland brimming with local wildlife. You might even meet their friendly resident Peacocks proudly strolling the grounds.

I first came to a wedding at Ellingham Hall when I was 14 years old, I’m now 28 and just had had my own wedding here last weekend. Ellingham Hall is the most magical venue, we couldn’t have chosen a better place to hold our wedding. We hired the hall and cottages for the full weekend and would highly recommend doing so, we were able to have all of our immediate family and friends on site. From the moment we arrived on the Friday, to when we left on Monday, everything ran smoothly thanks to the help from Wendy and Andrew. We have had so many compliments from our guests on how amazing the food was, it really was on another level, from canapés, wedding breakfast, evening bbq to full english served in the chapel the next morning. Everything was wonderful and I really can’t thank you enough for the effort you put in, to ensure that our special day was just spectacular. And it was, it was everything we had hoped for and more. It was really lovely to get ready in the Gothic Suite with my girls before the big day – I had 5 bridesmaids 2 flower girls, 2 page boys and there was so much room for everyone in the Gothic Suite, especially with the additional big dressing room. For anyone looking for somewhere truly special to tie the knot – look no further. Ellingham Hall is a magical venue and we now have the happiest memories to last us a lifetime. We had the privilege of spending two relaxing days at the venue with our family and friends. I honestly can’t recommend the venue highly enough.

Wendy, the Wedding and Events Manager, was helpful, organised and delightful throughout the whole process. The staff were attentive and considerate and nothing was too much trouble, and they did their jobs without having too intrusive a presence. The catering is exemplary with fantastic food served through the day and every whim, no matter how awkward, catered for.

The venue itself is simply stunning with each bedroom decorated in a tasteful yet eclectic style and wedding chapel and other communal areas are breathtaking. It’s also great that there’s a well-supplied kitchen for use and a brilliant games area for the kids (of all ages!) Our wedding exceeded our expectations in every way and we had the most amazing time.
