About
Setting

The Eden Project offers a striking botanical setting in Cornwall, where two vast biomes create a wedding backdrop unlike anywhere else. One houses the world’s largest captive rainforest, filled with lush planting and elevated walkways, while the other evokes the warmth and colour of the Mediterranean. Together, they create an immersive atmosphere that feels far-flung yet entirely within reach.

Rather than travelling abroad, couples can celebrate among citrus groves, rainforest canopies and dramatic glass structures, with varied spaces that shift naturally from ceremony to drinks to evening celebrations. From waterfall viewpoints to aerial walkways, the setting offers a rich variety of photographic backdrops, all within one distinctive destination.

Ceremony

Ceremonies at the Eden Project take place beneath rainforest canopies or within Mediterranean planting, creating an outdoor-style experience sheltered from the unpredictability of British weather. The Malaysian House within the Rainforest Biome offers a distinctive ceremony space, surrounded by lush greenery and layered planting.

Couples seeking a more adventurous entrance can choose to arrive via the SkyWire or even abseil into the ceremony, adding a dramatic moment before vows are exchanged. These unique options allow each celebration to feel individual, shaped by the atmosphere and spaces available across the site.

Reception

Receptions unfold across a variety of spaces, from Mediterranean terraces for relaxed dining to rainforest settings for cocktails beneath towering planting. As evening arrives, celebrations continue under a canopy of glass and greenery, with the atmosphere shifting naturally from drinks to dining and dancing.

Guests may also arrive by bunting-decorated land train, setting a playful tone from the start. The variety of locations allows the day to move fluidly, with each stage offering a different setting while remaining within the same distinctive environment.

Accommodation

There are numerous accommodation options nearby, with the team happy to recommend suitable places for couples and guests. This flexibility allows everyone to stay close by while enjoying the wider Cornwall setting.

Food & Drink

The Eden Project offers in-house catering, with menus designed around individual preferences and the style of celebration. From canapés and informal dining to formal seated meals, the team works closely with couples to shape the experience.

Food and flowers are sustainably sourced where possible, reflecting the venue’s botanical setting and environmental focus. The result is dining that complements both the setting and the pace of the day.

Sustainability

Sustainability forms part of the Eden Project’s ethos, reflected in its botanical environment and sourcing choices. Food and floral elements are sustainably sourced where possible, aligning celebrations with the venue’s wider environmental focus.

Local Area

Set in the heart of Cornwall, the Eden Project provides a destination setting for weddings, with coastal landscapes, countryside and local towns nearby. Guests travelling for a weekend celebration can enjoy the wider area before and after the wedding.

Getting There

The Eden Project benefits from strong transport links. The nearest train station sits on the Paddington to Penzance line, and the nearest airport is approximately 30 minutes away by car, making travel straightforward for guests arriving from across the UK.

Thank you very much for making our wedding so special. We found the whole process so easy thanks to your expertise and can’t imagine anywhere else in the UK or even the whole world more magical or different to get married than Eden. Our day was so perfect from start to finish and most of that was thanks to your dedication and attention to detail of you and your team. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Eden Project to other couples.

Victoria & Paul

We got married on Easter Saturday in the Medi biome followed by a reception in the gallery! Emma and her team organised everything perfectly, there were no hitches and no request was too much! We had such an amazing day. We opted for the hog roast with salad and wedges, all the guests commented on how fab the food was! Highly recommend, big thank you to Emma and her team.

Anna & Jon

We had an absolutely perfect evening getting married in the Mediterranean Biome last Saturday. The team were fantastic, and it was all so well organised, we didn’t worry about a thing! The food was wonderful, the setting was an absolute delight, and everyone had a really great time. We can’t stop grinning about the whole thing! And our guests really enjoyed their visit to Eden the next day. Thank you so much!

Bride & Groom

This is THE best place to get married. Our whole wedding was in the mediterrean biome and even though it was raining outside it was like we were away on holiday! Such a beautiful and unique venue, our guests were all so impressed. The food was plentiful and delicious, Emma and her team organised everything perfectly. The best wedding I have ever been to!!
