About

The Setting

One of Staffordshire’s hidden gems, Dunwood Hall is a privately owned family home dating back to 1871.

Grade II listed Dunwood may be an important building historically, but it is the soul and character of the building that makes it special. Passed down four generations, it evokes both the grandeur of a castle and the intimacy of an Italian wine bar that only the locals know about.

Step outside, and you’ll stumble upon 5 acres of secluded gardens with beautifully manicured lawns, rockeries, pools and intricate spaces. You’ll discover a rose garden that makes for a unique wedding toast location and a 1920s art deco swimming pool that opens up one-of-a-kind photoshoot opportunities.

The Vibe

A quirky and elegant country manor to call your own, Dunwood Hall is a fine example of Neo-Gothic architecture, recorded in Pevsner, built 1870-71 for Tomas Hulme, an “up-and-coming” Victorian from a local pottery town.

At Dunwood, your wedding is an intimate and personal experience. They’re not interested in creating a production line where one couple walks out of the revolving door as another enters. They believe your day should be full of magic, stress-free and above all, fun for everyone involved. That’s why they only invite a select number of couples each year to get married at Dunwood, so they can give each one the attention it deserves.

They can give you exclusive use of their home for a long weekend. This gives you time to relax and to review and amend any final touches. It also provides the team with an opportunity to help out, serve cups of tea and get to know you and your guests.
