About
Setting

There’s something quietly captivating about Devil’s Dyke Farm. A family-run venue on a working farm and set on the site of a former Victorian railway station, it offers wide-open views across the South Downs, reaching all the way to the sea. Just ten minutes from Brighton, the contrast between the rolling hills and the hum of city life creates a rare and unforgettable setting. Nature and history sit side-by-side here, creating a sense of openness, beauty, and quiet drama.

The team behind Devil’s Dyke Farm is on hand to help from the beginning. They’ll assist with setup on the day and handle the clear-up once the celebrations are over.

Ceremony

West Sussex Council fully licenses legal ceremonies here, and they can take place in one of three settings: the platform, the sea-view, or inside the marquee. Whether you prefer the open-air or a covered space, each location captures a different mood of the beautiful surroundings.

Reception

The marquee is a generous space for up to 150 seated guests, ideal for open-air dining without being exposed to the elements. With a fully equipped bar and fairy lights softening the evening light, the setting works equally well for small gatherings and larger festivities. Couples have exclusive use of the venue, allowing the day to unfold at their own pace.

Accommodation

On-site accommodation includes a beautifully renovated farmhouse and a cosy self-contained log cabin. The farmhouse features four bedrooms upstairs and an additional room downstairs, accommodating up to ten guests comfortably. The cabin is ideal for two, just a short walk from the main venue.

Food & Drink

Food options are entirely in your hands. Choose from their in-house team or bring in your own caterers, who’ll have full access to the large professional kitchen. Whether you’re planning a laid-back hog roast or a more formal meal, there’s room to shape the day to suit your taste. Bar arrangements are also flexible, covering everything, setting a limit, or allowing guests to pay their own way.

Local Area

The farm’s close proximity to Brighton and Hove brings a touch of city energy, just a ten-minute drive away. The large on-site car park makes driving simple, and taxis or Ubers are easily arranged.

Getting There

Transport arrangements are convenient, making it easy for guests to travel from the vibrant city to the enchanting countryside location.

“

Thank you for everything you did to ensure Megan and Jed’s day went smoothly. Megan was so happy and said that it was beyond what she had imagined. Many of her friends said that although it was supposed to be the happiest day of her life, they felt that it might also be the happiest day of theirs too! Hayley and I noticed how hard you and your staff worked, and we really appreciate the help and flexibility in tidying up after the event.

David & Hayley, Parents of the Bride

Fantastic, very well-appointed venue with far-reaching views over the South Downs to the sea. The catering and service were superb. Another location with all that Devil’s Dyke Farm has to offer would be very difficult to find.
