We can’t believe it’s already been a week since our wedding! It was the best day, and we would just like to thank you and the team for helping to make it perfect for us.

When we first viewed the venue, we knew it was the one for us.

From the first viewing, Tasha was really helpful in ensuring the day would be what we were hoping for. Having a smaller wedding, the Wokefield Estate team were happy to accommodate and discuss any changes to the original package. In the run-up, many emails were sent, but were responded to by one of the team, even if others weren’t available. Final meetings ensured everything was as we wanted it for the big day.

On the wedding day, the team were very attentive and made sure everyone had everything they needed to enjoy the day. The events team, particularly Sophie and Kirsten, were amazing! Thank you for helping make our day so memorable!

I would also like to add that the staff at the hotel were all amazing and helpful; they made us very comfortable in this wonderful environment. The room is beautiful, and we loved the attached patio area that overlooked lovely gardens.

My partner and I held our Civil Partnership event and celebrations at De Vere Wokefield in February.

Many of our guests stayed overnight, and together we enjoyed a wonderful ceremony, afternoon tea and evening party. The setting was beautiful, and the sun shone too, which certainly helped. The staff were helpful, attentive, responsive, calm, patient and creative and we were in great hands from start to finish. The Mansion House rooms are stunning and the food, including the afternoon tea, hot evening buffet and breakfast were all excellent. We would highly recommend.

What can we say? We had the most amazing wedding!

Honestly, your and everyone’s hard work was noted, and we had just the most magical time.

You all really went above and beyond with everything and with things we didn’t even know, such as making additional canapés on the fly, which were vegetarian for two guests, making us a new plate with different potatoes, and just generally being so wonderful and incredible. Please pass our very grateful thanks to everyone involved.

And thanks must be given for the most thoughtful gift there has ever been in the score chart, as if I hadn’t cried enough on the day to opening that in our room! Thank you for everything in the lead up and on the day, we couldn’t have wished for anything better, and thank our lucky stars that we were able to have the best day of our lives with the whole team at Wokefield.

We were so pleased with De Vere Wokefield Estate for our wedding.

The Friday night dinner was superb, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food, and we got so much of it! It was so lovely to have a private room, and it was the perfect way to kick off the wedding celebrations. The wedding day was amazing; we were so happy with the venue, and our guests were really happy with their rooms, too. We had lots of compliments on the venue, and it was lovely being able to make use of all the rooms, from breakfast in the Lincoln suite to drinks reception and lunch in Palmer and Old Lounge, the civil in Mortimer, and, of course, the wedding in the Terrace suite! We even managed to get some photos in the Whisky Lounge, and we had some of our professional portraits on the grounds, too. Our coordinators were also complimentary of the venue and the venue staff; we all had the help and support whenever we needed it.

Finally, a huge thank you to you and the team for all your help and support both during the run-up to our wedding day and on the day itself! I’m so glad I managed to see you on the day! All in all, we could not have been happier with our choice of wedding venue!

What can I say? We had the most amazing day on Friday at the wedding of Sean and Vivien. Everything was just wonderful from start to finish.

Firstly, a huge thank you to you, Tasha. You were my rock and never let me down. The Lincoln Suite looked amazing and was just how I imagined it, with all the beautiful tables dressed to perfection. I could not have done it without you, and even the outside terrace looked fantastic. So thank you so much.

Vanessa and Sophie, you were both amazing. Sean and Vivien were thrilled with how the whole day went. The wedding breakfast was faultless from start to finish, your attention to detail and the service both of you provided, along with the catering staff, was top class and very professional at all times. We were so well looked after, and the comments I have received from family and friends were very positive. I know it was a long day for you all, especially in the heat, but we were so very lucky with the weather.

Please pass on our thanks, especially from Sean and Vivien, to everyone at Wokefield Estate who was involved on the day; they all helped to make it a special occasion, and we made memories that we will treasure for a long time to come.

The day itself was absolutely perfect. We wouldn’t have changed a single thing about it, and I am still buzzing now, writing this three weeks later.

Louise, you were there from the very beginning and, to be honest, were one of the main reasons that we chose Wokefield over other venues that we looked at. You answered every question, query or request in a very professional manner and were very easy to work with.

When we got close to the wedding, you were able to take a lot of the stress and worry away from us, which was really good because it is definitely a stressful time.

Tasha was excellent also during your leave period. She was able to be up to speed and deal with everything just as efficiently and professionally. Thank you, Tasha.

I also wanted to thank the rest of the staff on the day itself. Vanessa was simply excellent on the day and made sure everything ran seamlessly, as did her daughter, Sophie, who took over in the evening.

Apologies, I can’t remember all of the staff’s names, but every single one of them was brilliant, and it is because of them that everybody was able to relax and enjoy themselves. I received so much positive feedback from our guests about the hotel and grounds, quite a few of them live in Reading and had never been there before and couldn’t believe such a beautiful place was so close to them.

An unforgettable wedding celebration at Wokefield Estate

We recently held our daughter’s wedding party at the De Vere Wokefield Estate, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. From start to finish, the service was outstanding, and the location was stunning.

The guest rooms were very large, clean, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay for everyone. The event setup was perfect, and the entire staff worked tirelessly to ensure everything ran smoothly.

We would like to give a special mention to Ivan, Bernadette, Olga, and Domingo, who looked after our party from beginning to end with incredible care. We also want to thank the Wedding and Event team for their meticulous planning and organisation.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a top-tier venue. Thank you all for making this day so special!

I wanted to message you to say a huge thank you to you for the hard work you put in to ensure my daughter’s wedding and reception went without a glitch!

From the evening before to the Sunday when we all checked out, the whole event was fabulous.

You listened completely to our requests for the bedrooms, and they were all perfect for what we needed.

The Old Lounge and Palmer suites both looked stunning for the day, and we could not have imagined them any better.

The Wokefield Suite and Avenue were a great space and suited our numbers perfectly. The spaces were all ready as requested, ensuring our suppliers were able to get in and set up as they were told.

A huge thank you to all of the staff from the golf buggy drivers, to the reception ladies and gents in both buildings, the restaurant staff and the maintenance team for their hard work. I appreciate that this is a week-in, week-out thing for you all, but for us, it was a one-off, and you all made it special.

But the biggest thank you is to you. As a project manager, I know how hard it is to collate everything and everyone, so a massive thank you to you!

Wokefield was one of the first venues we looked at. We instantly fell in love with the place. The building, the décor, the outside areas. It was just beautiful. I booked to view the venue back in August 2024. We met with Louise, and what I loved after seeing some other venues was, she sat us both down and asked what we were looking for. What we wanted and what we were expecting. Any other venue we went to I just didn’t feel like they engaged with us like Louise did. She then showed us round, and I think I already knew this was going to be our venue. Just everything about the place was perfect.

Once confirmed, that was it; we were locked in and ready to go. I cannot fault any of the staff at Wokefield, their professionalism, the friendliness of all the staff, they really do care about you having the perfect day. Nothing was too big or too small for Louise. I would contact her about even the smallest thing, and she always answered with a smile. We did view the venue a couple of times before our big day, and even then, I was so excited that this was going to be our venue.

The big day rolled around so quickly. We stayed the night before so that we could get all the decorations and other bits at the venue. The day arrived, and everyone at Wokefield was just amazing, and I cannot thank them enough for everything they did. All the decorations were put out exactly how I wanted them. Vanessa suggested that we move the cake into the middle of the room, as we had some space, and it was too good to leave in the corner. The whole day just ran so smoothly, and even now, thinking about the day, it just brings a smile to my face. I know we chose the right place to get married, even down to the smallest details like the room being all ready for us when we got back there after it had ended. There being cake for us to have so that we got to try it and the rose petals on the bed.

I will be going back to have afternoon tea just so I can be back at the venue again. Thank you to everyone at Wokefield for making our day so special. We were blown away by how much care was put into our big day. It was literally the perfect day for us.

I would like to say thank you so much for everything you have done for us. We had such an amazing wedding, and that is also down to you.

It definitely was the best day of our lives! Can you please also send a heartfelt thank you to Tasha for her kindness, and also to Olga, who was an absolute diamond on the day. All the staff at De Vere were lovely and I built a bond with some amazing people including yourself.
