Coombe End Manor sits within a private 2,000-acre Cotswold estate, offering exclusive use for weddings surrounded by rolling countryside. The historic manor welcomes up to 22 guests across 14 individually designed bedrooms, giving family and friends the freedom to settle in and celebrate together over an entire weekend.
Inside, heritage and contemporary comfort sit side by side. Reception spaces include the Drawing Room, Club Room, Cocktail Bar and a medieval banqueting hall, each bringing its own character to the day. Outside, landscaped gardens, ancient woodland, an arboretum and wide-reaching views across the Cotswold Hills provide a memorable backdrop, while the terrace, Garden Pavilion and leisure facilities encourage celebrations to unfold at an easy pace.
Although Coombe End Manor is not licensed for civil ceremonies, the estate offers two striking locations for celebrant-led weddings. The Amphitheatre overlooks the pond and surrounding countryside, while the Top Lawn enjoys expansive views across the valley. Both settings can accommodate up to 150 guests, allowing couples to exchange vows beneath open skies.
Those choosing a church ceremony have several nearby options, including St John the Evangelist Church in Elkstone, just three minutes away by car or around ten minutes on foot, and All Saints Church in North Cerney, approximately ten minutes from the manor. As outdoor ceremonies are weather-dependent, a wet-weather contingency is part of the planning process.
Following the ceremony, guests can gather for drinks on the Terrace or Lawn, where the views stretch across the surrounding hills, or beside the Garden Pavilion overlooking the pond. The pavilion seats up to 22 guests and includes fire pits, a built-in sound system and direct access to the spa and swimming pool.
Wedding breakfasts and evening celebrations take place in a marquee positioned within the valley, giving couples complete freedom to shape the space around their own ideas. As evening turns to night, the marquee becomes the setting for dancing and the after-party, with music winding down from 12:30am before finishing at 1am. The marquee is arranged separately through the couple’s chosen wedding planner and is not included within the exclusive-use hire.
Staying at Coombe End Manor makes the wedding more than a single day. The manor sleeps up to 22 guests across 14 individually styled bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom, views across the gardens and Verden toiletries.
Alongside the main house, The Monks Flat offers additional accommodation and a private space for getting ready, making it easy for the wedding party to spend the morning together before the ceremony.
Dining is tailored to each stay, with a private chef and a dedicated waiting team preparing menus tailored to individual tastes and dietary requirements. From breakfast and lunch to afternoon tea and evening dining, every meal is planned in advance to suit the occasion.
Outdoor dining is equally well considered. The Garden Pavilion seats up to 22 guests for relaxed meals overlooking the Cotswold Hills, while the terrace offers an elegant setting for drinks or dining with views across the estate.
The manor is well placed for guests wishing to explore the Cotswolds before or after the wedding. Historic houses, Roman remains, gardens and well-known villages are all within easy reach, offering plenty to discover across the surrounding countryside.
Coombe End Manor is around 15 minutes from Cheltenham and 10 minutes from Cirencester, with London approximately 90 to 120 minutes away by road via the M4. Kemble station offers direct rail services to London Paddington in around 70 minutes.
For those travelling from further afield, Heathrow, Birmingham and Bristol airports are all within easy reach, while Oxford Airport and Gloucestershire Airport provide convenient options for private aviation. Helicopters can land within the manor grounds, and transfers are available on request.
One date remaining for 2027 – please get in touch for more details!
A dedicated wedding planner is not included; however, all weddings at Coombe End Manor are required to appoint a professional planner from the outset of the planning process.
All weddings require a marquee for the wedding breakfast and evening reception, allowing the celebration to be styled entirely to your vision. We are currently creating a beautiful amphitheatre within the grounds, designed to host wedding ceremonies, with our elegant lawns also available as a stunning alternative. We always recommend working closely with your wedding planner to curate a considered wet-weather option, ensuring your day feels seamless and beautifully planned, whatever the British weather may bring.
The celebration can continue into the early hours, with dancing until 1:00am and last orders served at 12:30am. We kindly ask that carriages for guests not staying at the house depart by 1:00am,
The pool and house spa are reserved exclusively for the 22 guests staying at the house during their visit. Unfortunately, these facilities are not available to non-resident guests during the wedding celebrations.
