One of London’s most prized possessions, the newly refurbished and award winning Chelsea Old Town Hall is a stunning Grade II* listed venue where many glamorous people and famous faces have taken their wedding vows. This magnificent late Victorian building, lovingly restored to its original glory, provides a memorable and photogenic backdrop for wedding ceremonies and receptions with its central position on King’s Road.
The Small Hall, flooded with natural light, a coved ceiling, decorative carved crests, and Minstrels’ Gallery, is a popular choice for ceremonies with up to 140 guests. Following ceremonies in the Small Hall, guests often move into the Main hall for their Wedding Breakfast.
The Main Hall, with its vaulted ceiling and ornate cherub-clad covings, is perfect for large ceremonies. It can seat up to 340 guests.

The Main Hall can seat 144 guests for a dinner dance or 180 for dinner. It also features a sprung wooden dance floor and stage for your band or DJ.
The venue has several approved caterers offering a variety of styles and cuisines. They will be delighted to provide a quote for your food and beverage requirements.
If the venue’s approved caterers cannot fulfil your requirements, the venue is open to discussing the possibility of you bringing an external caterer for your event.
Situated on fashionable King’s Road, the award-winning Chelsea Old Town Hall is a short distance from Sloane Square and South Kensington Underground Stations.
Surrounding mews streets make lovely backdrops for wedding pictures, and the picturesque Albert Bridge is close by.
Sloane Square Underground Station, which serves the Circle and District lines, and South Kensington Underground Station, which serves the Circle, District and Piccadilly line, are both within a 10-15 walk of Chelsea Old Town Hall or approx 8 minutes by bus from the station.
Three pay and display carparks are within walking distance of Chelsea Old Town Hall and some metered bays in nearby side streets.
Chelsea Old Town Hall has three event spaces. If you have both your wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast, you will need to book the whole venue for your exclusive use. If you have your ceremony only at Chelsea Old Town Hall, you will have use of the room you book. The other rooms may in used for other events.
We can offer you exclusive hire of the venue, beginning with your wedding ceremony in the Small Hall followed by a drinks and canapé reception, before making your grand entrance into the Main Hall for your dinner reception.
The venue works alongside several approved caterers; however, should they not be able to meet your needs, the venue will be happy to discuss the possibility of you bringing an external caterer on-site (fee applicable if approved). Self-catering is not permitted.
