Setting
Located in sunny southwest France, just 50 minutes from Toulouse International Airport, this imposing 18th-century residence has been architecturally transformed into a contemporary space perfectly designed with weddings in mind.
The Chateau is in the heart of the French countryside and embraces elegant minimalism, beautifully offset by the surrounding natural environment. Engalin offers a memorable journey of a unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience over a three-day wedding celebration weekend. Gastronomy, art, and creativity are at the heart of Engalin, which is offered in multiple dramatic indoor and outdoor spaces.
The historical site perched atop the hill with its romantic rose-covered, jasmine-scented chapel dates back to the 11th century. It offers an impressive, dominating architectural exterior shell, enveloped in 360-degree views of nature and celestial skies. Its views of the French countryside give it a unique and unforgettable quality.
The contemporary interiors merge art, design and culture. It is the perfect place to create forever memories in the French countryside. It’s the ultimate playground for design-conscious couples who want every detail personally catered for.
Ceremony
Enchanting ceremony spaces are available both indoors and outdoors. The charming chapel, adorned with roses and scented with jasmine, dates back to the 11th century. Its striking architectural exterior commands attention, surrounded by breathtaking 360-degree views of nature and the sky, creating a unique and unforgettable setting with glimpses of the French countryside.
For a more intimate experience, couples can choose a vaulted indoor room featuring a gracefully curved ceiling and an artistic lighting installation, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere for their vows.
Reception
Celebrations begin with a confetti moment, and the popping of champagne corks on the Rose Chapel Lawns after the ceremony. Guests can then move to the Pool Deck and Pool Bar, where they will enjoy canapés accompanied by live music while taking in stunning views of the surrounding fields.
In the event of inclement weather, the chateau’s elegant interiors serve as a charming alternative for the champagne reception. Complete with the warm glow of a log fire, the chateau ensures a cosy atmosphere for all.
Accommodation
While the Chateau walls have been restored to their original stone, the inside has been stripped back to create a series of modernist living spaces punctuated with works of art and artefacts. The chateau itself sleeps up to 34 guests on-site and has six beautifully designed bedrooms, each with ensuite bathrooms. Across the courtyard, the Woodbarn has been converted to offer eight chic ensuite bedrooms.
Engalin bedrooms have been designed with quality and comfort in mind. The rooms are finished to the highest standard, with fine linen sheets, hairdryers, soaps and towels, and a safe. Each room has been personalised with bespoke pieces of art, and they each have their own character. Retreating to your room should be the ultimate pause, a time to relax, recharge, and reflect on the weekend’s pleasures.
Food & Drink
Food is seasonal, generous and flavourful.
Its in-house FoodLab distinguishes Chateau Engalin. Producing gastronomic and experimental ‘terroir-fusion’ food menus (including vegetarian and vegan menus) they also offer drinks packages curated by the in-house sommelier, featuring both natural and classic French wines.
