I recently had the most incredible experience getting married at Château de la Couronne, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! My husband and I, along with our guests, were absolutely blown away by this stunning venue. The chateau itself is breathtaking, with beautiful grounds and bedrooms that are truly out of this world.

A massive thank you to Lucy, Ben and Charlie, who made our entire wedding nothing short of perfect. Their service was exceptional from start to finish. I especially want to give a special thanks to Lucy, who was like an extra bridesmaid throughout the planning process!

Married July 2024

We had our wedding here in June 2023. We are from the UK, but my grandad lives in France, and I have always loved the thought of getting married there for that reason. I can’t recommend this chateau enough if you are looking for a wedding in France, not only is the chateau beautiful in its own right, the surrounding area is also idyllic, based in the quaint small village of Marthon. Inside the chateau you’ll find a sense of luxury in the decor and more than enough to impress guests! All of our friends and family still say how breathtaking the chateau was and what a fabulous time they had!

The food was also incredible, not only on our wedding day, but we had a BBQ the next day, which was 100% the best BBQ we have ever had! The food was so tasty, and the presentation was perfect! All our guests thoroughly enjoyed it!

More than that, though, for us, it really was the hosts that made our wedding day exceed all of our expectations. Andrea, Ben and David really did make sure everything was taken care off and really did go above and beyond in so many ways.

Overall, our wedding day will always be the most amazing memory, thanks to the effort of the whole Butler family and their gorgeous chateau. It’s truly so special, and I would recommend it to any couples who are looking for a wow venue with guaranteed top-quality service.

We celebrated our wedding at Chateau de la Couronne this past August. From beginning to end, the entire weekend was a dream. We were treated like royalty by Lucy & the entire Butler family as soon as we arrived, right until our last day. They ensured everything was organized and prepared for, as well as making sure our guests felt comfortable and at home.

On the day of our wedding, they went above and beyond to ensure every detail was accounted for, giving us a truly magical day. Lucy’s eye for detail is next level and her gift of styling meant all of the visions for the wedding came to life.

Our guests commented on the beautifully decorated Chateau, the fresh and delicious food and wine, and how intimate our ceremony was. Lucy worked tirelessly with all our vendors to ensure everything ran smoothly on the day. It was above & beyond our expectations. We held a Day 2 BBQ on the grounds, and our guests marvelled at the presentation and how freshly prepared the meals were (prepared in-house by their incredible chef, Ben). The team paid particular attention to ensuring options were available to those with allergy requests, which we really appreciated.
We received countless snippets of feedback from our guests on how kind and courteous the staff at the Chateau made them feel.

I cannot thank Lucy and the team enough for their kindness and hospitality and for bringing our dream wedding to life. It’s been over two months since our wedding, and our friends and family are still praising how fabulous, entertaining & intimate our wedding was. I would highly recommend the Chateau to anyone looking to celebrate their day with an authentic, elegant Chateau experience.

Where do I begin?

Lucy, Charlie and the whole family have been absolutely outstanding! We hosted our Wedding here in 2024, which included an Arrival Soiree, Wedding Day and Pool Party.

From the moment you arrive at Chateau De La Couronne, you feel like you have stepped into a fairytale. I have never seen such a beautiful venue where every last detail has been considered and perfectly executed. From the landscaped gardens to the crystal chandeliers, from the silk flower arrangements to the leather-backed books in the Billiards room, everything has been lovingly chosen to create a fairytale chateau.

As new owners of the Chateau, Lucy and Charlie have been a delight to work with. Lucy has provided me with regular updates and has gone through every detail with a fine-tooth comb. Lucy has been so attentive and has been a calming sounding board. Although many people may hesitate to book a wedding venue abroad, Lucy gave me such confidence I never once worried about anything!

The newly renovated Chateau is breathtaking in every way. A true testament to the family’s dedication. The living spaces have been beautifully decorated, the bedrooms are comfy and cosy with a whole heap of grandeur thrown in for good measure. The pool area is an incredible space, and we easily hosted 70 of our nearest and dearest for the best pool party ever!

As for the food? Hats off to the chef! Each and every meal we had here was delicious! From the continental breakfast to the Charcuterie boards, the BBQ to the home-cooked pizzas, everything was absolutely scrumptious.

The grounds of the Chateau are vast and equally beautiful. Again, so much time, effort and love have been poured into them.

It’s safe to say our guests were blown away with both the Chateau and Lucy and Charlie themselves. The service they have received is second to none! I could go on and on about every little detail, but all I really want to say is ‘thank you’!

Chateau de le Couronne now owns a piece of our hearts. This place is just so special and exceeded all of our expectations!

It’s hard to put into words how spectacular this place is. Everything about it was just so magical. We hosted our wedding over three days and managed to use so many different areas for each occasion.

The food was presented so beautifully and tasted even better. Rooms were dressed so well and tasteful, very spacious and comfortable.

All this is topped off by an incredible team headed up by Lucy, Ben and Charlie, who really were the most attentive, hard-working, well-organised and kindest people from the moment we arrived until we left.

Lucy was unreal through the whole planning process and installed so much faith and vision throughout and made us feel relaxed whilst planning a wedding from 555 miles away!!
