Nestled between Yorkshire’s two stunning National Parks – the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales, Camp Kátur offers a stunning collection of spaces for unforgettable celebrations. From the beautifully rustic Hay Barn and idyllic Woodland Chapel to the newly refurbished Orangery, each setting provides its own unique charm and character.
In addition to fully licensed ceremony and reception spaces, the estate also provides on-site accommodation, allowing you and your guests to relax and continue the celebrations for as long as you wish.
Camp Kátur are also a proud holder of Dark Sky Status. With minimal light pollution on site and positioned between two recognised Dark Sky Reserves, the night skies above Camp Kátur are truly spectacular. On clear evenings, guests can unwind beneath a canopy of stars beside a crackling fire pit or from the comfort of a wood-fired hot tub – the perfect ending to a magical celebration.
Exchange vows in the beautifully characterful Hay Barn, where exposed beams, original brickwork, cartwheel lighting and soaring ceilings create a warm and atmospheric setting. Or, for couples seeking an outdoor celebration, the Woodland Chapel is nestled amongst ancient trees, complete with a bracken-lined aisle and soft pine needle flooring for a truly magical woodland experience.
Alternatively, the newly refurbished Orangery offers an elegant and versatile space filled with natural light. Thoughtfully restored architectural details add charm and authenticity, creating a timeless backdrop for your ceremony and celebrations.
Comfortably seating up to 120 guests, The Hay Barn provides a beautiful, atmospheric backdrop, with an event license until 1am on weekends, meaning the celebrations can run on into the early hours.
A luxe, cosy seating area offers the perfect retreat for resting dance-weary feet, while the outdoor terrace, complete with an awe-inspiring fire pit, invites guests to gather, unwind, and chat late into the night.
Meanwhile, the beautiful, light-filled space of The Orangery is full of characterful details. Seating 140 guests with floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with flattering natural light, it’s the perfect setting to celebrate and make lifelong memories surrounded by your loved ones.
You and your guests can choose from a selection of luxurious glamping accommodation, including ensuite geodomes and handcrafted wooden cabins. Each has been carefully positioned to make the most of the stunning views across forests and meadows – the perfect setting for reconnecting with family and friends.
The geodomes are beautifully designed, uniquely shaped spaces featuring stargazing ceilings and expansive bay windows that frame the surrounding countryside. Every dome includes an ensuite bathroom, a cosy wood-burning stove, and generous private decking. Some also feature hot tubs, making them ideal places to relax and unwind after a day of celebrations.
A favourite choice for couples, the chic Scandinavian lodge, Lyra, offers the perfect pre- and post-wedding retreat. Nestled in a secluded spot, it combines stylish interiors with a luxurious wraparound terrace, complete with a fire pit and log-burning hot tub – an idyllic space to spend precious time together before and after the ceremony.
A professional bar service, complete with experienced staff and event licensing, is offered onsite. The small but perfectly-formed onsite pub, The Hebridean, is home to one of two fully stocked bars and is conveniently located beside The Orangery, helping your day flow seamlessly. The second bar is situated in the Hay Barn – ideal for post-ceremony welcome drinks, Champagne toasts, and late-night refreshments.
Whilst onsite catering is not available, Camp Kátur will gladly recommend caterers from their trusted supplier list. Alternatively, you are very welcome to work with a caterer of your choice.
