Camel Studio overlooks the rolling hills of the Camel Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty in North Cornwall.
A drive down country lanes from the nearby town of Wadebridge will take you to their beautiful light-filled barn, boutique farmhouse and bridal cabin, all set within acres of lawns and garden.
It’s the perfect setting for an intimate ceremony and celebration for up to 50 guests.
Rustic yet modern, intimate yet impressive – a wedding at Camel Studio promises to be unforgettable.
This stylish venue offers the choice of an indoor or outdoor licensed ceremony. Their barn is a romantic space with huge doors opening onto a view of fields and wooded hills. Or take your vows under the Cornish sun among their gardens that roll down to the valley beyond.
Camel Studio is not a typical rustic barn with its white walls, muslin drapes and festoon lights. Trestle tables, pretty cross-back chairs, a grand piano, olive trees and large ferns complement this beautiful canvas for you to style as you choose. The outside courtyard has a Mediterranean feel with olive trees, flower-filled pots, comfortable seating and pretty blue and green parasols.
On-site, their stylish boutique property sleeps eight, while the bridal suite, a cosy log cabin, is nestled within a secluded spot in the garden.
With their dedicated wedding team led by owners Helen and David and coordinator Jess, you can be sure your wedding will be everything you imagined and more.
Where to start? We just want to scream thank you from the hilltops. Absolutely everything about our day was perfect and it was everything we could have hoped for and it’s down to you guys and the wonderful, wonderful Camel Studio. You were there for us every step of the way and made the entire process easy and actually quite fun. Kieran loves a spreadsheet even more now! Keep doing what you do because it’s really special!
We really liked that Camel Studio was dedicated to smaller weddings, so would suit our ideal of being small, intimate and modern.
One of the main reasons for choosing the venue was the gorgeous accommodation on site. This was a major bonus as all our guests were from London, and it meant they could make a holiday of it. It’s a great spot.
Everyone bent over backwards to make our wedding work. When things kept changing (due to Covid), Camel Studio were brilliant. Helen was a really great point of contact and helped so much. Hazel (our wedding coordinator) was phenomenal. She was incredible in the lead-up and on the day was invisible, just making sure everything went smoothly. Without a doubt, I’m so glad we chose Camel Studio for our wedding.
Camel Studio was our dream come true. We couldn’t of asked for anymore for our wedding day. Wonderful people with outstanding service. We wish we could relive every second. Thank you so much. Highly recommend a visit to see the beauty for yourselves.
When you include the accommodation, and how lovely Helen and Dave are too, it was so much better than we could have imagined. Everything was just perfect. The whole day was really chilled out, really personal, and so special. We would 100% recommend a wedding at Camel Studio – you can’t even imagine somewhere like that could exist. It’s beautiful. Both of us think it’s an absolutely magical place.
We loved Camel Studio as the scenery around the area is stunning. Both of us are quite minimal, and wanted something natural; I was super impressed. It was stunning, even more beautiful than we had imagined. Camel Studio was just what we wanted. Helen made the experience really easy, especially when planning a wedding without living in the area. I didn’t even think about how many things you have to consider – they just knew and took care of absolutely everything, so I didn’t have to worry. It was the best choice and the best experience.
We married at Camel Studio in May 2022 and I cannot recommend this venue enough. It is set in the most beautiful location with views over the countryside and the studio itself is stunning. It’s hard to do it justice in just a few words or photos, but more than anything the ‘feel’ of Camel Studio is what makes it just so special. Helen and Dave are wonderful and our whole experience marrying here was beyond perfect. If you get the chance to marry at Camel Studio, jump at it. You won’t regret it!
Married May 2022
Everything about our wedding at this beautiful venue was absolutely perfect. The views, the cottage, Helen and Dave – there were literally no negatives, and I would 100% recommend getting married here. We definitely made the right decision to have a small wedding at Camel Studio.
It was such a special day, and to add to that the rapport we had with Helen and Dave was brilliant; we were really lucky. They’re fantastic people – they helped us a lot, but they’re also really friendly. You couldn’t wish for two better people to host your wedding.
When we first saw Camel Studio, we knew straightaway: This is the place. We loved that it wasn’t a standard barn or manor house – it’s something a little bit different, more contemporary, and it’s so light and bright and modern. I was super excited about what our wedding would look like, and honestly it was amazing, just phenomenal. Helen, Dave and Phoebe made everything run so smoothly, it was so perfect for anyone attending, and we had such a wonderful time. It really was seamless – our wedding was way better than I expected!
We had really high expectations and Camel Studio surpassed all of them. The venue is stunning, the location perfect, the hosts couldn’t do enough for us and they went the extra mile. Everyone had such a great time, and that experience will be with us forever.
We are honestly not sure where to start, words won’t do justice to how grateful we are to Helen and Dave at Camel Studio for our perfect wedding day. We guess our situation is probably a little different from most people in that, due to Covid, we actually had experience with two different wedding venues – our original venue that was set up to accommodate 100 people and Camel Studio, the venue we selected for our 30 people, and ultimately 15 people, wedding. We therefore have a comparison of the experience in both planning and the run up to the wedding between two venues and we can safely say, the Camel Studio experience was unrivalled.
From the very beginning, when we first realised our July wedding wasn’t going to go ahead and contacted Helen at Camel Studio, she was a pleasure to deal with. Given the large amount of uncertainty, around when and if our wedding was going to be able to take place, Helen was flexible on all fronts, from the date, to payments. We really appreciated this flexibility as it was not something our previous venue offered.
Helen and her husband Dave could not do enough to help us throughout the lead up to the wedding and on the day. From recommending a number of suppliers that we used on the day and were extremely impressed with, to sourcing IT equipment for making sure we could project pictures on the day and buying a last minute Christmas tree when we chose a Christmas wedding date. Camel Studio is essentially a blank canvas for you to create your perfect wedding day. They do not dictate on decorations, format or equipment, you can completely customise the space for the wedding feel you want.
If you are looking for picturesque views then Camel Studio is perfect. It is set in the most beautiful grounds, looking out onto rolling fields. You couldn’t ask for a more idyllic Cornwall countryside setting. We really appreciated the small touches like the welcome hamper in the house and complimentary champagne in the bridal suite, they all helped to make us feel special on our big day. Also if you have evening food, definitely go for the pizzas, as Dave is a pizza genius; they are delicious!
Overall, when you pick a venue for your wedding day, all you want is to feel like the people at the venue running your day care that your day is special and we cannot put into words how much we felt that was the case with Helen and Dave at Camel Studio. Thank you guys so much for giving us the best day that we will never forget.
Everyone at Camel Studio was great at just constantly making sure everything was all going well. Helen and Dave couldn’t have done any more for us; they really listened to everything that we wanted, and nothing was too much trouble. Anything we could possibly need, they catered for. It was the little touches – their attention to detail is amazing, and we didn’t have any stress or any worry at all. Helen just wants everybody to have their perfect wedding; it’s so personal.
The location is idyllic. Camel Studio is in such a beautiful place, and so many people commented on how we managed to find it. It’s just amazing; you can’t see anything around other than beautiful views. Even indoors, you can throw the big barn doors open and the views are beautifully framed. You don’t really get how amazing it is until you go there. It really is a hidden treasure.
Having our wedding at Camel Studio was, without a shadow of a doubt, the best decision we could have ever made.
The views are absolutely breath-taking. If you’re after a picturesque countryside vibe, you couldn’t find a better spot. The outdoor spaces are large enough to have a separate location for each element of your event, but small enough to bring everyone together into an enchanted, intimate space.
The welcome feast was such a treat. Wow! So, so much nicer than trying to find a restaurant or having to clean up dishes the night before your wedding. We had a chance to relax in each others company before the chaos. This was really game-changing. Also – the food – the food was insane! Our guests kept asking (requesting, really) if Dave and Christian would/could cater our wedding.
The Bridal Suite which we had use of the night of the wedding was so, so lovely. The bed is ridiculously comfy and the special touches like champagne and coffee were perfect. It was such a luxury to only have to waddle around the corner when we were ready for bed after our huge day.
What truly made our experience special though was the support of Helen and Dave. Everything was handled. Everything ran super smoothly. And everything was perfect thanks to these two super heroes. We honestly can not thank them enough for honestly being the reason why our wedding was so great. Everyone wants their wedding day to go well – by booking with these guys, you can trust it will.
It was all so relaxed and chilled-out, which was all we wanted. We got the wedding that was right for us, and on reflection we wouldn’t have done it any differently. Our wedding was even better than we expected, and so much of that was because it was so personal, intimate and chilled.
Camel Studio is honestly perfect. It all just works so well there, and the support you get from Helen and Dave is unreal, nothing is too much of a problem. They just want you to have the best day. And we absolutely did!
