Burlton Manor, an elegantly restored 18th-century Georgian brick barn, lies in the North Shropshire countryside just outside Shrewsbury. The venue combines historical charm with sophisticated modern design, creating a unique space for wedding celebrations. Its open-plan interior, bathed in natural light and accented by fairy-lit walkways and a spacious terrace, offers a blank canvas for your personalised wedding vision.

Ceremony

Burlton Manor offers both indoor and outdoor ceremony options. The indoor ceremony room accommodates up to 150 guests, while the outdoor space, surrounded by lush greenery and fairy-lit paths, can host over 200 guests. The Secret Garden, with its enchanting setting, provides an ideal backdrop for saying “I do.”

Reception

For receptions, Burlton Manor’s main hall invites guests to an inspiring space featuring exposed brickwork, handcrafted oak doors, and towering oak beams. Elegant chandeliers light up the dining area, where an elevated balcony adds a unique view of your celebration. The spacious outdoor terrace flows naturally from the main hall, providing an open area where guests can mingle and enjoy the setting.

Accommodation

Burlton Manor provides luxurious accommodation on-site, ensuring comfort for up to 70 guests. The Manor House includes six en-suite bedrooms perfect for the bridal party, while two cottages offer additional options nearby. Nine beautifully designed barn rooms, equipped with heating, air conditioning, and luxury bath amenities, add further convenience. For guests seeking a taste of the outdoors, 13 en-suite glamping pods create a private village setting with modern comforts. As a special gift, couples are invited to spend the night in the exclusive Honeymoon Suite, with its serene views of the Secret Garden and cherub fountain.

Burlton Manor was the perfect place for our Wedding.

From our first look around, communication leading up to the day, to Our Special Day and the day after; the staff were accommodating, approachable, knowledgeable and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.

The venue and grounds are beautiful, well taken care of and a lot of thought has gone into all the details. There are plenty of beautiful spots for photos and there are wonderful views. Accommodation is available and is to a high standard. The Bar is well stocked, and the bar staff were efficient and friendly. Everything ran smoothly and we knew exactly what we needed to do and when, and staff made sure everything went as we wanted. There was plenty of room for all our guests and they were all very impressed with Burlton Manor.

My husband and I recently got married at Burlton Manor, and honestly – it was the most magical day we could have asked for! We can’t recommend this venue enough, every single part of the venue is beautiful, plenty of space for different aspects of our day (we had almost 200 guests), perfect accommodation for our guests and amazing owners and staff! They listened to all of our ideas and made everything we wanted possible no matter how tricky it was, and dealt with any awkward situations seamlessly! The history behind the barn is so fascinating and so many of our guests commented on how amazing the venue was. The bridal suite made a massive difference to my morning. I felt so relaxed, even with ten bridesmaids running around, and the honeymoon suite was simply stunning! We decided to have our ceremony in the secret garden outside, and it really was a dream – it has been so thoughtfully made that minimal to no decor is needed throughout!
