Across the Thames from Belgravia and Tate Britain, Brunswick House is an eighteenth-century mansion in Vauxhall near Westminster and the West End. Its richly layered interiors offer a striking contrast to the city outside, filled with architectural antiques, reclaimed furniture and vintage pieces that give each room its own character.
The collection is constantly changing, with many of the antiques available for sale, so no two celebrations have quite the same backdrop. From lofty Georgian rooms to courtyard gardens, a roof terrace and cellars below, the house reveals itself gradually as guests move through its distinctive spaces.
Celebrations move through Brunswick House as the day unfolds. Welcome drinks can be served in the statuary gardens when the weather allows, as well as in the Parlour, Library and Study, before guests gather to dine in the grand Saloon/Smoking Room.
Later, dancing moves downstairs to the cellars, where wine vaults, large fireplaces, ancient flagstones and old brickwork create an intimate setting quite different from the Georgian rooms above. The changing spaces give the reception a natural sense of progression, from drinks and dinner to dancing late into the celebration.
The starting price includes exclusive use of the hired rooms, plus a venue manager, cloakroom facilities, venue staff, and security.
Jackson Boxer and the team from Brunswick House restaurant provide catering. The restaurant provides food and drink for celebrations at the house, with catering priced separately based on each couple’s requirements. Three-course menus start from £85 per person, with dinner served in the grand Saloon/Smoking Room following welcome drinks elsewhere in the house and gardens.
LASSCO Brunswick House is all about reclamation and architectural design, connecting guests with rescued relics that make for fascinating interiors and providing the backdrop for unique wedding receptions.
Brunswick House sits in Vauxhall, directly across the Thames from Belgravia and Tate Britain. Its central London position places Westminster and the West End close by, while the mansion itself offers a tangible connection to eighteenth-century Vauxhall and its pleasure gardens.
The house stands next to Vauxhall Bridge in Central London, within easy reach of Westminster and the West End. Its position also provides convenient access to routes leading towards the South West.
Hermann and I wanted to share our gratitude for all of your support and care in the lead up to and on the wedding day. You made it fun, straightforward and easy and it was wonderful to see the beautiful saloon filled with our loved ones having a good time and enjoying the food, wine and decor. We couldn’t imagine a better place to have our reception.
We are looking forward to coming back regularly to reminisce!

Our son and his wife had their wedding reception at Brunswick House and I want to thank all the staff for making their day so special. When we came into Brunswick House it all looked and felt so welcoming. The meal was delicious, served by helpful staff. We were able to circulate and chat to our guests between courses. Thank you for all your help to Ian and Laura before the day and to us all on the day. Our guests have commented with pleasure on the venue and food, they all thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
We wanted to send you a note to say a massive thank you for everything last weekend at our wedding.
All your help in the lead-up, ensuring the day ran smoothly, excellent food and drink (our guests were raving about the lamb), outstanding service, beautiful table decorations, and, of course, hosting us in your wonderful venue (putting up with our performer!) – we can honestly say that there is not one thing we would have changed about our day – it was perfect. We’ve been out on honeymoon for the last few days, and every day, we’re talking about what a special day it was.
Appreciate how much work goes on behind the scenes so it would be great if you can pass on our thanks to the whole team too.

Philip and I would like to thank you so much for engineering a wonderful evening on Saturday. Everyone had a fantastic time and had nothing but praise for both the venue and food. We thought all the courses were excellent, in keeping with our experience in the restaurant. Bottom line, the food, the wine, flowers, service and ambience were all great and could not have been improved upon, so please thank everyone involved.
We wanted to say a huge thank you to you both and all of the team for doing such an incredible job for our wedding reception at Brunswick House on the 3rd of May. The whole venue was stunning and it was so clear how much work you had put into making it look as good as it did. We were really blown away, especially when we went upstairs to the dining room for the first time.
All the staff were excellent, and the drinks, dinner and dancing went so smoothly. There really wasn’t a thing we would have changed. The food was delicious – we have had so many people mention to us how much they enjoyed the food. Please pass on our thanks to the chefs and kitchen staff, as well as everybody who helped out on the day.
We thought it was going to be tough organising a wedding from the other side of the world but you made us feel so at ease and we were really impressed by your professionalism and how well you were able to guide us through the decision making process. We are particularly grateful to you for this.
We will be recommending you guys to everyone and we cannot wait to come and visit for some food in the restaurant when we are next back in London.
