Brocket Hall is a private estate set within 543 acres of Hertfordshire countryside. Whilst the 18th century fabric of the building has been retained and restored to its formers glory, an array of 21st Century conveniences have been sensitively added to make this a home away from home.
The house is fully staffed with butlers and team of chefs.
Brocket Hall is an exclusive use wedding venue. The elegant and romantic setting is the perfect location for your wedding day. The park was landscaped by Richard Woods, following ideas of Capability Brown, with the meandering Broadwater Lake and the charming Paine Bridge offering the perfect backdrop for your photographs.
The Hall boasts a 60 foot Ballroom and for smaller more intimate weddings the original Prime Ministers table can be used for your wedding breakfast, the table is said to be the second longest table in England with the longest at Windsor Castle. The Ballroom is where Lady Caroline Lamb introduced the Waltz to England.
There a selection of reception rooms on the first floor; The Morning Room overlooks the lake and features a working grand piano. The Drawing Room, with its secret door through to the family dining room, is where breakfast is served. The Library also features a secret door through into the Ballroom disguised as a bookcase, the rams heads detailed within the bookcases are secret panels where ‘undesirable books’ could be hidden. The final room on the first floor is the Billiard Room complete with billiard table.
Ceremonies and evening entertainment take place downstairs in the ceremony and party room, whilst the bar is available in the Silver Room.
The Hall is a lovely intimate space for small weddings, but is also perfect for weddings up to 150 for ceremony and wedding breakfast, with a further 50 guests to join for the evening party.
They offer wedding packages including wedding breakfast, canapés and drinks for your reception and wedding breakfast. Along side their packages they provide a bespoke service for your reception.
Your special day includes a ‘Traditional Butler Service’, with their team of Butlers.
The Hall is complete with 30 luxurious ensuite double bedrooms.
We had a wonderful time, and our guests have been nothing but complimentary on the experience they had. Thank you to you, Chef Alan and team for a great day.
We had such an incredible day, it wouldn’t have been possible without you, Helen, and your team; please pass on our thanks to everyone for making such a wonderful day happen. I know the team went to quite a bit of trouble to help us have our wedding on the staircase, however considering how magnificent it looked, although we were the first, I doubt we will be the last to have it there.
The whole wedding was amazing! The Brocket staff were just superb! So friendly and so professional and accommodating. On such an important part of a couples life, so much rides on everything being perfect and the staff at Brocket were unbelievable! You should be very proud of what you all deliver and the impact you have on peoples lives. Special thank you to yourself. With so many logistics to get perfect, your calm and can-do attitude was just a tonic for us.
