We would like to thank you for organising such a wonderful day for our recent wedding at Bovey Castle. From the time we booked you gave us every confidence with the whole event. Your professionalism throughout was fantastic, the day went by totally seamlessly and all our family and friends enjoyed the day as much as we both did. I would like to thank all of your staff at the hotel who worked so hard on the day, especially David, and would you please pass our thanks to him as well.

We celebrated our thirtieth wedding anniversary with a vow renewal ceremony in the presence of our parents, children and grandchildren. Bovey Castle was the perfect setting. The Castle is absolutely stunning. The food was delicious and the staff was amazing. Thank you for a magical day!

We just wanted to get in touch to say a massive thank you – our wedding day was honestly perfect and felt like a dream. From your co-ordination, the food and the staff who helped us on the day – it came together perfectly. We are both still in a bubble and already planning to come back for our anniversary next year.

Bovey Castle was our absolute dream venue, and following our wedding just over six weeks ago we are very much still on cloud nine from our big day! From the moment we all arrived on the Friday, right through to when we left on the Sunday afternoon, Bovey Castle and their staff really did go above and beyond to make us all feel very special indeed. All staff we met had exceptional service skills and made us feel like royalty. A special mention has to go to Catherine for all of her efforts not only in the months leading up to the wedding but also on the day itself. What blew me away completely was that every request I had sent Catherine before the wedding had been taken note of and executed perfectly. All of the special details she knew meant so much to my husband and I were taken care of. Catherine really does care about what she does, and worked so hard to make our dream day a reality – the due care and attention to me is priceless. David, our master of ceremonies, is also another fantastic team member whose service skills are second to none. His knowledge of wine pairing for the wedding breakfast was fantastic and he worked so hard the whole day alongside Catherine. Bovey Castle is a high end venue and they honestly are worth every penny. The memories we have are priceless and our photographs showcase what is a classical English countryside backdrop. If you are looking for nothing short of perfection on your wedding day, then this really is the venue for you.

After a visit to Bovey Castle 4 years ago and a comment from a friend that the hotel would make a great wedding venue, Bovey Castle was where we married. Our Special Day has been and gone, a lifetime of memories made; we will definitely return to this beautiful venue. A special mention to Catherine, our wedding planner, thank you for all the planning involved for our wedding. Catherine always took the time to help and advise, countless emails, telephone calls, leaving us focused and reassured. The relaxed feeling on the day, the attentive staff and professionalism has to be noted and last but not least, a mention of the Harpist, Elizabeth Jane, the beautiful music played at the ceremony and throughout the afternoon made for the ambiance of this beautiful venue. Our families and friends near and far found Bovey Castle stunning, quite simply a ‘Gem’ tucked away in beautiful Dartmoor…

From the moment we viewed Bovey Castle we knew that it would be our wedding venue. The staff were impeccable throughout our 18 months of wedding planning, the wedding day and beyond. The venue itself is striking; a magnificent castle with the backdrop of Dartmoor and picturesque grounds for wedding photos. We were whisked off into the grounds for some photos on a golf buggy! The service and food are worthy of the 5 stars standards – extreme care and attention is put in to ensure each guest’s individual needs are met and the whole day ran seamlessly. The facilities are lovely and include a swimming pool, sauna and steam room. We had a lot of family and friends staying with us at Bovey Castle who were all very happy with their rooms and the grand state suite was a superb bridal room! The falconry display the morning after the wedding topped off the best weekend of our lives! A huge thanks to Catherine and her team for all their hard work.

Bovey Castle was the perfect location for our wedding day. Catherine and the team did an excellent job making sure everything went off without a hitch. They made sure I didn’t have to worry about a thing and I had a stress-free wedding day. Even though I turned up an hour early it still wasn’t an issue. We were so lucky to have Bovey Castle as a venue and the amazing team helped to create beautiful memories of our day. Thank you all so much for a perfect wedding day.

Thank you so much for making our wedding day so fantastic and run so smoothly. The day went without a hitch and this was especially down to yourself, David and the team. We were so lucky with the weather and every single detail was exceptional, everyone commented on what a fantastic venue with fantastic staff and every detail could not have been any better!

My husband and I are very pleased to have had our wedding day at Bovey Castle, it was certainly an amazing experience. Our wedding preparation was surprisingly easy, thanks to the wedding team at the hotel. The team arranged everything so smoothly on the day that I as a bride only needed to enjoy my time with friends and family. I particularly loved the owl that Bovey Castle arranged to deliver our wedding rings; it was such a creative and elegant arrangement that impressed all our guests. We would love to say thank you again to everyone at Bovey Castle who made our big day the best day ever!

Where do I start? After visiting all the way back in October 2016 I knew that this was the perfect wedding venue and that it was where I wanted to spend my special day! I want to thank Abby and Sophie for making the day run as smoothly as I had planned and making sure that everything was perfectly laid out! We started on Friday evening by having a meal at the Smith’s Brasserie and it was incredible. We then stayed at Bovey and being the bride I was lucky to get the Bridal Suite (room 18) and it was beautiful, the balcony overlooking the grounds was amazing and getting ready in there with the double shower (with seats), the beautiful bath and lounge area was surreal. Abby and Sophie were on it on Saturday morning making sure they knew exactly how I wanted everything to be laid out and keeping me calm and relaxed whilst I got ready. When it came to walking down the stairs it was the perfect entrance and the ceremony room was beautiful. We then had Pimms on the terrace outside for some absolutely amazing photos and views! We had 3 different canapés which were to die for and all the waiters/waitresses were amazing bringing the food and drinks out for everyone. The wedding breakfast food was to die for with a starter of chicken terrine, piccalilli and onion bread, fish course (I had mushroom ravioli) main of a leg of lamb wellington with mash potato and the desert of exotic fruit salad and sorbet and the best part…. unlimited wine! The nearest to the pin competition was fun if not impossible but got everyone involved and talking which was a great time passer ready for the evening reception in the Dartmoor suite. The evening buffet food was amazing. I seriously can’t thank Bovey Castle enough for the best weekend of my life and memories that myself and family are going to treasure forever!
