About
Setting

Banking Hall is a Grade II listed Art Deco landmark in the heart of the City, once home to the historic Lloyds Bank headquarters. Guests enter through a grand marble lobby, framed by soaring columns and a sweeping staircase, creating a striking arrival for any celebration. The main hall’s high ceilings, chandeliers and architectural pillars offer a dramatic backdrop for ceremonies and receptions, while the mezzanine Counting Room provides a flexible space for drinks or quieter moments throughout the day. With cinematic heritage and excellent transport links nearby, Banking Hall blends history, elegance and city-centre convenience for unforgettable weddings.

Ceremony

Licensed for marriage and civil partnerships, Banking Hall offers a grand and elegant setting for exchanging vows. The main hall, with its soaring ceilings, marble floors, architectural pillars and sweeping staircase, creates a dramatic and timeless backdrop for both intimate and large-scale ceremonies.

Just above, the Counting Room provides a flexible additional space for smaller gatherings, pre-ceremony moments or a more intimate atmosphere when needed. Banking Hall is licensed for civil, religious, and humanist ceremonies.

Reception

The venue’s Art Deco heritage creates a striking backdrop for wedding receptions. Banking Hall’s grand main hall can be styled for seated dinners, cocktail gatherings or a lively dance floor, all framed by its impressive architecture. After the ceremony, couples can transition smoothly into the celebration, with the Counting Room offering a versatile space for reception drinks or evening moments.

Accommodation

Thanks to their strong relationships with local hotels, Banking Hall can offer exclusive rates and recommendations for you and your guests. From boutique stays to five-star classics, the team will connect you with the right options, often at a preferred rate.

Food & Drink

At Banking Hall, couples can work with their in-house catering team to design a menu that reflects their tastes and traditions. The space accommodates a range of dining styles, from formal seated dinners to contemporary food stations and more relaxed reception service. A full bar licence is included in the hire, allowing bespoke cocktails, curated wine selections, or a classic cash bar throughout the celebration.

While external caterers can be accommodated for religious or cultural reasons, this must be arranged with your dedicated event manager. The team supports dietary requirements with care and flexibility.

Sustainability

Committed to sustainability, Banking Hall integrates responsible practices across its operations, from energy efficiency and waste reduction to inclusive workplace standards. The in-house catering team supports this commitment through responsible sourcing, minimising single-use materials, and accommodating a wide range of dietary and cultural needs. They also partner with Vibration Production, which prioritises sustainable sourcing, waste minimisation, and innovative, low-impact solutions across all production elements. Through collaboration with trusted suppliers and a continuous focus on improvement, Banking Hall ensures every event is delivered with consideration for both the local community and the environment.

Local Area

Situated in the heart of the City of London, Banking Hall places guests within one of the capital’s most historic and characterful districts. The surrounding streets are lined with architectural landmarks such as the Royal Exchange, the Bank of England, Leadenhall Market and St Paul’s Cathedral. A wide selection of restaurants, bars and hotels is just a short walk away, giving guests plenty to enjoy before or after the celebration.

Getting There

Banking Hall is easily reached, with Bank, Cannon Street and Mansion House stations only a short walk away. Its central City location offers straightforward access for guests travelling from across London or staying nearby.

FAQs
Do we have to use your caterers?

All catering is handled in-house. However, we do offer dry-hire options for cultural or religious events that require external caterers. Rates vary throughout the year.
