Ashton Lodge Country House

What an amazing venue. Our day was everything we hoped for and more.

Our planner Emma was absolutely brilliant, she didn’t stop the whole day, she worked so hard to ensure our day was perfect. The food was amazing. We had the roast and all our guests commented on how lovely the food was. It was so tasty and presented beautifully. The best crumble pudding I’ve ever tasted. Such a beautiful venue with nice scenery and little touches and treats to make the day, such as the sweet station, fire pit with marshmallows, swing/tractor, the light arches and pizza hut and even more.

Ian and the staff were great. Everyone at the venue was always happy to help and was great with my guests. Ian made sure we had Pizzas and water to take to bed. We had a great night’s sleep and woke up to enjoy a lovely breakfast with our family and friends who stayed over. Emma again was back with us the following morning to make sure we all had breakfast, she had prepared all our decor, cake etc ready to take home.

Huge shout-out to Ashton Lodge for making our wedding day the best, and a massive thanks to Emma and the team. If you’re looking to get married and find a beautiful venue, I highly recommend Ashton Lodge. I could do it all over again!

I’ve photographed well over ten weddings at Ashton Lodge, and it’s a venue that consistently delivers an exceptional experience for both couples and their guests. From the moment the day begins through to the evening celebrations, everything runs smoothly and feels carefully managed.

The venue itself is beautiful, with elegant interiors and well-maintained grounds that create a relaxed yet refined atmosphere. The layout works wonderfully for weddings, allowing each part of the day to flow naturally without feeling rushed or disjointed.

The team are always professional, welcoming and incredibly helpful throughout the day. It makes a real difference working alongside staff who are organised, attentive and clearly experienced in delivering weddings to a high standard.

The food is consistently excellent, with great presentation and quality throughout. The evening pizzas are always a highlight and go down extremely well with guests.

From a photography perspective, Ashton Lodge offers a fantastic variety of locations for portraits, both indoors and outside in the grounds, making it easy to create natural, timeless images without needing to step too far away from the celebrations.

It’s always a pleasure to work at Ashton Lodge, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to couples looking for a well-run and beautiful wedding venue.

We had our wedding day at Ashton Lodge in October 2025!

We had one viewing at Ashton Lodge and knew it was the venue for us! Hannah showed us round, and she was so enthusiastic and positive, you can tell she truly loves the venue too!
We had Mia run our day, and it was seamless! Nothing was too much; she was a dream to have as our planner! We had soooo many compliments on how smoothly the day ran, how no one felt rushed, how calm everyone was and how lovely and friendly the staff were throughout! A big mention to Ian as well, who was brilliant throughout but made one of our guests who has severe allergies feel very looked after, and that she wasn’t a “bother” for the first time in her life – she still raves about him to anyone who will listen, so thank you, Ian!

The food was delicious and again, something people still talk about to this day! Thank you to all of the staff who made our perfect day come to life. We couldn’t have wished for more!

Married January 2025

We booked Ashton Lodge and managed to plan our wedding in less than six weeks, and it couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Everything was so well run and incredibly organised from start to finish. The venue had a lovely, intimate feel and created exactly the small, relaxed atmosphere we wanted.

A special mention to Natalie, who ran our day. She was so kind and understanding of our family circumstances, always checking in and making sure both my husband and I were okay. Her calm support made such a difference to us.

We honestly couldn’t have asked for more and would highly recommend Ashton Lodge to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxed and exceptionally well-managed wedding venue.

Married December 2025

I was a guest at my cousin’s wedding this weekend, and we had an absolute blast celebrating the newlyweds. I do need to do a special thank you to Ian, the op’s manager, who was heading up the bar.

As someone with an alcohol allergy, I don’t fit the usual allergen parameters and often find at venues like this, my choice of drinks is very restrictive and my allergy is treated like an inconvenience. But this was not the case at Ashton Lodge, with a range of alcohol free cocktails that were some of the best I have ever had (no glasses that taste like mixed fruit juice here, proper mockocktails that taste like the real thing – I still remember from before my allergy developed) plus options on shorts and beers. Ian even went the extra mile, giving me a safe space to order from if the bar got too rowdy, so I wouldn’t be in anybody’s splash zone with their drinks, and the name of the manufacture of the alcohol free spirits for the cocktails, so I can find them online and order some in for summer BBQs. It was genuinely service that went above and beyond, taking all the anxiety, stress (and boredom of repeated glasses of lemonade) away that comes with attending functions like this. So thank you, Ian, for such a great day for the newlyweds and being the icing on my piece of wedding cake
