The interlocking heritage rooms at Ashridge House provide a seamless flow, with each chapter of the day revealing a striking new backdrop. The venue boasts a blend of romantic Gothic and Italian architecture, complete with original chandeliers, marble fireplaces, opulent gold-leaf adorned painted ceilings, and 190 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. The breathtaking staircase is the perfect complement to any style.

Located just 30 minutes from London by car or train, Ashridge House offers complimentary on-site parking, making it easily accessible for guests.

The Vibe

Ashridge House offers a personalised wedding planning journey, with each couple assigned a dedicated Wedding Coordinator to assist with all venue planning. The Coordinator will also be present on the big day, working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure each couple’s vision comes to life. Couples can rest easy knowing they are in experienced and friendly hands.

On the morning of the wedding, the wedding party can relax and get ready in one of Ashridge House’s Heritage rooms. The venue is licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 150 guests on the breathtaking staircase, or couples can choose to say their vows in one of the venue’s stunning garden settings, such as the South Terrace, Italian Gardens, Rose Gardens, or Herb Gardens. The Ashridge House Chapel is also available for Christian blessings, conducted by the venue’s Reverend or the couple’s own officiant if desired.

Ashridge House offers various options for the sit-down meal, ranging from 40 to 280 guests. If the guest count exceeds 280, a marquee can be constructed on the lawns. With 190 on-site bedrooms, the venue is perfect for couples and guests to rest their heads after an amazing day.

The venue’s 190 acres of beautiful, landscaped gardens offer the perfect backdrop for all-important photos. Ashridge House is located just 30 minutes from London by car or train and offers complimentary on-site parking.

My husband and I got married at Ashridge in October and it was breathtaking. The venue is already stunning and with very few extra decorations it took ours and our guests breath away. They accommodated all our requests and it really felt like our wedding the way we wanted it. I don’t drink so they provided elderflower presse and mocktails which were great. All our guests loved our venue and the staff both during planning and on the day were spectacular. The process was simple to book and the planning meetings were fun and organised. Wow. Wedding of our absolute dreams, and It doesn’t stop at the breathtakingly beautiful venue, which gets me every time I see it! The team, the food, the chef, the ceremony, just everything, was perfect. We had a black-tie autumn wedding and spent 3 days celebrating at Ashridge and the team couldn’t do enough for us. They made us feel so special, we had a bespoke 5-course wedding breakfast which we designed with the head Chef Paul and our guests are still talking about the quality of the food and cocktails now. Importantly for us, Ashridge had enough guests rooms and lodges for our full wedding party (100 people) to stay and the chapel and the many rooms in the house meant we could have our full wedding there with no-one needing to travel anywhere. The spa was an added bonus for all the guests to use over our 3 days, and the lodges are lovely for the bridal party and family to stay together. It really was my fairytale dream wedding come true (and I’d dreamt of that for 36 years).
We were allocated Bryher as our wedding coordinator and my goodness she’s so good at what she does, down to the smallest details. We got married on staircase. I’d advise anyone to do the same. Your guests will have never, and will never, see anything like it again. Magical indeed.

My husband and I recently got married at Ashridge House on 3rd July 2022. We booked Ashridge House after our previous wedding venue cancelled on us due to Covid and I can honestly say it was meant to be. We had looked at 11 venues previously and had no idea what we would do. We assumed Ashridge House would be too expensive so didn’t book to view previously. Ashridge House are so upfront with costs and make it easy to work out unlike so many other venues with adding tax corkage a venue fee and catering fee etc. It’s absolutely stunning venue. Our guest were blown away! The food was exceptional also and all the staff are just so wonderful and know exactly what they are doing. It’s first class! Ashridge House holds so many memories for us and I recommend anyone to go and check it out – you’ll fall in love!

Wow! What an amazing day for us all. It was just incredible.
The whole day ran so smoothly due to the rigour and high expectations that the staff at Ashridge House adhere too. The continual comments from all of our guests have a common thread; saying the quality of the food was delicious, the service from the staff was professional at all times and the endless attention to detail on everything was always picked up. Ashridge House provided the Bride and Groom and all their guests with a lasting imprint of complete splendour that will never be forgotten.
