Addington Palace is an exceptionally grand 16th-century Georgian mansion set within 165 acres of Surrey countryside. The manor house is reached via a sweeping driveway and is surrounded by immaculate grounds that play host to deer and parakeets.
The manor house has two licensed rooms for ceremonies. Choose between the light, bright, and airy Winter Garden for a more intimate setting or the magnificent Great Hall, with its spectacular Italian marble fireplace, French chandelier, and walnut panelling. Each offers a breathtaking backdrop for wedding vows.
The Great Hall forms the heart of the Palace, an opulent space with soaring ceilings designed by renowned Scottish architect Norman Shaw. A French chandelier, handpicked by Shaw from a French château, hangs at its centre, casting a warm glow over the celebrations. Surrounding rooms feature refined and timeless marble fireplaces, intricate mouldings, and delicate plasterwork. On a sunny day, the South Lawn provides an elegant outdoor space for guests to mingle and capture those perfect photographs.
The venue’s accommodation offers a luxurious experience for you and your guests. The Honeymoon Suite in the Palace is grand, light, and airy, providing the perfect retreat for newlyweds. In addition, there are two further luxury guest bedrooms within the Palace, ensuring comfort and elegance for close family or friends. For larger gatherings, the estate also features five beautifully appointed houses that sleep up to 42 guests (including 10 on sofa beds), offering convenient and stylish accommodation for your guests, all set within the stunning grounds of the Palace.
Addington Palace is committed to sustainable practices across the estate, from energy-efficient operations to responsible sourcing, ensuring that its beautiful Palace and grounds are preserved for future generations.
The estate adjoins Addington Park, offering open lawns, mature trees, and peaceful walks, while nearby Addington Hills provides elevated woodland paths with sweeping views across the countryside. The village itself is steeped in history, with landmarks such as St Mary’s Church and charming heritage streets to explore. Whether strolling through the landscaped Palace grounds, enjoying a picnic in the park, or taking longer countryside walks, the area combines a tranquil, rural feel with very easy access to the city.
Addington Palace benefits from a prime location, offering convenient access to central London and the M25. East Croydon mainline station is less than four miles away, providing fast transport links into London. Heathrow Airport is 26 miles from the estate, while Gatwick Airport is just a 25-minute drive via the M25.
We couldn’t be more impressed with Addington Palace’s exceptional support in helping us pull off a successful event on such a tight turnaround! Their team went above and beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of, from planning to execution. The venue itself was stunning and provided the perfect backdrop for our event. Despite the time constraints, everything ran seamlessly thanks to their professionalism and dedication.
We had our wedding there a few months ago, and we cannot describe how unforgettable the day was, thanks to the beautiful venue and the unbelievably helpful staff. Ana was phenomenal! From day one, she put us and our families at ease and was always at the end of a phone call/email to ensure our wedding planning experience went as smoothly as possible. Addington Palace was phenomenal, and that chandelier featured in many of our photos! We used every nook and cranny for our special day and were profoundly thankful for the memorable day Addington Palace and its staff gave us. Thanks again for everything!
Having visited Addington Palace, I found it incredibly beautiful, and the staff are second to none. Thank you all at Addington Palace for making my experience with you one to remember for a lifetime.
We held our wedding at Addington Palace, and it was a beautiful venue with incredibly helpful staff. The whole planning process went smoothly, and we’re grateful for everything. It was an excellent experience; we couldn’t have asked for a better venue and service. We also stayed in the cottage next to the palace, which was VERY clean. It was a perfect location; we had a wonderful time there and left with great memories.
We celebrated our wedding at Addington Palace and couldn’t have picked a better venue. Everything from the idyllic setting, the charming and helpful staff, and the beautiful main hall to the top-class food was faultless and unforgettable! Our families and guests had a fantastic weekend; we honestly could not fault anything. We had so many compliments about the food and service, and everyone went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after perfectly. The personal touch and friendliness went far beyond what we expected. It was also wonderful to have separate rooms within the venue for people who wanted to dance, chat or look at pictures and reminisce. Very special thanks to Craig and his amazing team of staff for making our day as memorable as it was!
We had our wedding reception here in June, and it was an incredible experience! Throughout the process, Ana and Sean accommodated our every need, from the countless phone calls to the many site visits. They were extremely flexible, given the nature of the venue, and we cannot thank them enough. The venue speaks for itself in terms of decor and atmosphere. Our guests had a blast and have been raving about the unique location. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and elegant venue.
I had my wedding here recently, and it was truly an amazing day. Ana & Sean, and the rest of the team were very helpful, friendly and prompt with their responses. I cannot thank them enough for all their help organising the day.
The venue is beautiful, with a lot of character and greenery—a lot of outside space to take photos with scenery. We had our Nikkah in the winter garden room, which was perfect and added to the day!
We held our wedding this October at Addington and had the most amazing day. Ana was the person we dealt with throughout the initial viewing to the big day, and she was always super helpful and quick to respond to my queries. Addington is a beautiful venue, and we fell in love with it on our first visit! It has a lot of character and doesn’t need to be overly decorated. The benefit of hiring Addington was the exclusive use of the venue and several rooms for us to use. We had a lot of compliments from our guests on how lovely the venue was.
The venue was perfect for our wedding. Great venue and events team! I held my wedding here in November of this year. The wedding planning was accelerated as we only had three months to organise. Ana and Sean were fantastic in answering queries and generally being accommodating. The venue was perfect for our wedding as we could use the different spaces for our guests. I am so pleased with how everything turned out.
Fabulous place. We all had a great day at Addington. The rooms are large, with high ceilings and a sense of grandness that made it all feel very special – just what we were after for our day. The staff made us feel welcome. We highly recommend it!
