The Setting
A Wedding by the Sea offers a pair of exquisitely romantic intimate wedding venues in Cornwall, overlooking the historic harbour village of Charlestown.
Built in the late 1700s the tiny harbour village of Charlestown, on the south coast of Cornwall, is largely unchanged and has been granted UNESCO world heritage status.
The Vibe
Marry to the sound of the waves lapping on the Cornish coast with A Wedding by the Sea. They have two exclusive venues available to hire; their Marine Villa for you and up to 10 guests is a grand, Grade II listed seaside villa sitting on the quay overlooking the harbour. The Sea Cabin, a quaint renovation complete with glass-covered courtyard is perfect for you and four of your nearest and dearest.
There you’ll experience luxury in absolute privacy.
The Marine Villa
Marine Villa’s drawing room, dining room and the jasmine-filled summerhouse in the seaside courtyard garden are all licensed for ceremonies. You can say your vows in front of a real fire in the drawing room or alfresco in the summerhouse.
There is also a pair of magnificent sea view bedrooms both with super king beds and luxurious ensuite bathrooms making it a truly wonderful place to stay for the night before your wedding, the night of your wedding and indeed for the night after that! The master bedroom also has a small interconnecting study that can be made up as a child’s room so that up to four adults and two children can sleep in seaside elegance.
The Sea Cabin
The smaller of the two venues, the Sea Cabin comprises a pair of exquisitely renovated Grade II listed buildings with a glorious glass-covered courtyard in between, filled with jasmine and tree ferns and hidden in its own private garden on the quay overlooking the historic harbour village of Charlestown. Available for you and up to four guests for an intimate wedding celebration whilst also able to sleep 2 and a little one in seaside tranquillity.
On a stormy night, at either of their charming locations the waves might even lull you to sleep. There are beautiful studios and cottages for your remaining guests available nearby.
